so i went down to my local shop to check the release date of AoC (i knew it came out on the 20th in the US and i wanted to check if it was the 20th here or the 21st that we get it) and to my surprise the clerk said the 23rd. i thought this was a mistake so i went to the other 2 game stores and they said the same thing. now normally i can deal with a slight delay but 3 friggen days for a popular game like this is just lame. 20th or the 21st would have been acceptable for time differences or shipment problems but 3 days after the world gets it we can play.
at least its not as bad as the super smash bros fiasco. its being released in June down here and one of my local stores got so tired of waiting they imported the American version and sold some discs that allows you to play American and Euro games on your Wii.

As far as I know, its:
17th for buyers of Early Access
20th for US
23rd for everyone else
Im waiting for the 23rd too... and damn the wait time is madning! MADNING!!!
It's 3 days. You'll live.
ohhh poor you have to wait till the 23.. plz i am in a shit hole town with no good game stores i had to order it on the web and now im waiting for it to get here in the mail they say on the 27th !! or 30 of may now that is not fair !!!
AoC goes retail on the 23rd in the EU.
I have an Aussie friend whose gonna purchase the game.
Will she be able to join me on a EU server?
You arent used to it yet ? It must be the same thing for every game. You have to pay to live so far from everyone else.
We both played EQ2 together on an EU server with no added costs or problems.
I don't know, depends on which version you get. If you have to get the EU version, then there is no problem, if it is the US then no, you can't. The versions are regionalized and I think oceanic (which I believe Australia is considered) is on the US servers.
Thanks for your advice Raston.
actually Australia is exempt from regions. we can play both European and US games. as for MMO's i have no clue if you can use the Euro (i have heard of Aussies playing on Euro servers) as i have not tested it out before.

the "CE soldout" press release
