Carbon copy

in Age of Conan: Unchained

I just saw where only at level 40 can you get mounts for this game.  Another carbon copy of WoW. Can't these games make up their own identities? Do they all need to follow Warcraft? I never understood why you needed to wait two-thirds up the levels to get a mount. Doesn't make sense. I know people want mounts at a much earlier level.

Vanguard had it right. At level 10 you were able to get one but unfortunately that game was terrible at best.

    40 is 1/2 of 80, not 2/3. I can't understand either why can't everybody ride a horse.

    You can either wait 40 levels and be appreciative when you get there and finally can move a bit faster or you can get the ability to ride a horse at level 10, work your ass off to make enough currency to afford a horse, and obtain one by level 40.

    So...let me get this straight, AOC is a carbon copy of WoW because you get a mount at 40?  Please do not ever post on a forum again.

    Last I recall, WoW did not invent mounts. SWG had 'mounts', that is the ealiest game I played that was an MMO. Maybe EQ1 had them or something too...

    The thing is you need to get rewarded in games otherwise what is the point in playing them? The only reason SWG had them at such early levels was because that games planets were huge. SWG did not even have them at launch, the player base had to WALK to all there waypoints and what not. That games landmass was 5000x bigger that even WOW's zones. Now times that by about 12 planets or so and you realise why Mounts were 'installed' onto the game.

    Basically, with a game lik AOC you do not even really need a mount, thus the developers give them to a player after a certain milestone.

     

    Stop your whining and get leveling. I hear this game has quich levels.
