    I was having the same problem, but figured it out.  I entered in my preorder key for the mammoth back on the 16th, which was a different key altogether than the retail key I got with the box.  When you go to the account screen, enter in the key from the back of your manual into the 'upgrade early access or preorder'.  This will prompt you to reactivate under the credit card you originally used when preordering.  I did it, and am awaiting to enter Hyboria (looooooong ass patch).  Good luck

    Duh? We all already kinda know this....its commen sense. Also I was able to play around noon and had cancelled the subscription because I wasnt able to get into the forums to find support on some performance problems I shouldnt be having. And now that I try to resub it frozed my account and now im unable to play .

    There are always problems for the first 2 or so weeks of any MMo release. I do find it funny though that funcom's issue isn't lag or stability issues, but complete prevention of access to the game.

    Serves you all right for buying the game now.  Everyone should know by now that nothing works the way it should with MMORPGS on release.   And guess what, doesnt matter how mad you get...FC still got your money from buying the box.

    Is it that difficult to wait 2 weeks or even a month after release to buy the game? I mean if everyone prospective player of AoC did this, wouldnt that encline the developers and publishers to MAKE SURE the game or systems are READY before it goes on sale?

    that post is 0 help ive spent hours looking for a solution the only plasubile one is Funcom fixing it and i still haven't got a reply to my suport request..

    im having the same problem also. i've registered my key and cant log onto their forum. when i try to log onto the game. it couldn't connect to authenticate server.

    hah, so its telling u you have to register your key?

    I even claimed my stuff yesterday morning

    get stupid message " no offers found for this key" every damn time.. i really hope this is fixed when i wake up tommorow

    i've already registered. i read the part about the early access and that cant log in til may 23rd? what is this about? didnt know i had to pay for loggin on too along with the monthly subscriptions and the dam box itself.

    I guess the problem that im having is  a bit diffrent then the lot here but kinda the same...here it is.

    i got EA but didnt get in, and when the 20th came i enterd the New retail key and was able to play.

     

    i can still play, anytime i want...my account is shown as Full Access and paid and all that jazz, i have no problem with the game.

    BUT! i cant get on the forums. now, i have been to the account page a few hundred times,  i have updated and made a forums name and password  over and over again, i make it..wait 20-30 min then try to log into the forums.

     

    it always logs me into the forums but then it gives me this messege

    (my account name here) you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

    so yea, its been like that for 2 days stright :(

     

    i can play but no forum love

    WoW stole 3 years of my life and i want them all back! Oh never mind i'd only waste them...but ill take the 15 minutes from vanguard back Right NOW!

    I'm having the same problem.  I finally found a copy of the game and entered the retail key.  At first I got the frozen account problem but got it fixed and am still not able to log on to the forums.  I don't mind being a part of the community through fan forums but I would like to give input on the official one also.

    i 100% agree, its like i want to see the REAL forums and chat and see people flame one another but i CANT! and in game people are like check out this o the forums and im like ...booo!

    You say you had the frozen account issue but got it fixed... please explain how you did this.

     

    I was able to create an account, log in and play last night just fine, now nothing.  when I log into the age of conan funcom website, and click to see my current subscription, it stays on the age of conan site, but shows me my old school Anarchy Online stuff.... I really would like to play...

    that phone number above "doesn't accept support calls".   It is mainly for business calls.

     

    I was so excited to play this game, but I think it's going to get returned.

    u guys ready for my email response? this is great...after waiting 40 hours an email responce i get this

    "This key is not listed as a valid key in our system from this issue.

    Yay so he thinks i entered the code wrong even though its 100% correct so now im completely screwed...i sent another email yesterday and its already been 18 hours...

    I also tried MANY things to fix this.... I was able to play immediately after setting up my account, and could no longer log in the next day (and since).

     

    I email the support@, the account@, the forum admin, and the key-replacement@ addresses, and got two canned (generated) responses from support@, and one real response from key-replacement stating my key was fine, and that I already had a character in game.... uhh... duh?

     

    I called the number listed, I changed my password to not include numbers, I've tried too many times to re-input my retail key info.... and nothing.

     

    This is silly.
