Hey guys. I'm not very computer savvy at all, but I'm about to get a new laptop and here are the specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB, 6MB Cache)
4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)
Hard Drive Speed: 160GB 7200rpmSATA
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
I'm mainly worried about the video card. It's only 256, but the recommended video card was 512. For this laptop, the best video card available is the one listed above (it's a dedicated video card though, not integrated). Will it work, and how well will it work (what setting could I play it on)??
Thanks guys

I've seen several threads where lap tops run into issues because of cooling alone...
Your lap top beats my PC, and I'm 100% sure that I will be able to play on low-mid settings with 256 Video memory as well... Just dont expect to play on all high settings... if detail is key, sacrafice some terrain distance or something... For me im installing right now and its been about 30 min.
Well I'm sure I'd be able to get a cooling platform. That's not really too much of a problem (I play with my laptop that I have now that's a piece of junk and I ran EQ2 and *attempted* Vanguard on it without it overheating... of course the fan ran so much that one of em eventually broke and I had to get it repaired, but that wouldn't be an issue with a newer laptop).
