Personally I would get the acer, HDMI support and better contrast ratio with a faster response time lead to a better picture.  Its only a bonus that its cheaper.

Seems tho that the acer dosent have 64bit support tho so dont plan on watching anything like a blu ray, seems odd with it having HDMI and all.  Other then that its still my choice

    Anywho just my 2cents

I recently purchased the 22" Gateway. Would have gone with the 24", but financially not possible at the time. It has received good reviews, except from the professionals that claim that the colors are slightly off, but I use mine for gaming mostly. It offers HDMI, DVI, VGA, Component and USB connections, PiP, an optional speaker bar that mounts to the bottom of screen if your desktop space is limited and conforms to standard wall mount brackets available from most retailers.

I looked at the Acer seriously, but went with the Gateway instead. Good luck.

Oh yeah, the screen rotates if your working with long text documents, too.

Personally, I just don't like Acer.  I think thier systems are cheaply made.  Its ok for a regular consumer, but definetly not quality.  For LCDs I recommend LG, Samsung, and BenQ.

Since the last Samsung scam, i've always been very paranoid with them. I personally go LG; they've never failed.

P.S. If you haven't made the choice yet, take a look at this link

An up to date review of LCD monitors for different needs: gaming / media / office / etc.
