Group based PVE, mature community.

Im basically looking for a kind, mature community in a group based PVE game. Any ideas?

I was told that EQ2 has a nice and mature community for the most part and its all PvE unless you choose the pvp servers.

FFXI contains  mostly mature players and vets, and it has the best PVE and Story in the mmorpg genre, which is true so if anyone says "WoW is much better for PVE" ill .. do nothing but ill get mad!...

anyway FFXI is your best bet =]

Probably EQ2, Vanguard, or (as stated before) FFXI.  All three have great PVE aspect and are solid for grouping.

I'd say (in order) for grouping:

EQ2 - Plenty of opportunity to group, but last expansion (Kunark) added the opportunity to pretty much solo to level cap.

Vanguard - Some of both here. Most classes can solo well, but the community is one that loves to group (building relationships and getting to know people rather than just knocking out 3 quests in silence then splitting up).

FFXI - After level 10-20ish, grouping is required.  To me, FFXI is built with the Final Fantasy theme in mind.  (The group of adventurers banding together to save the day).  My only qualm with this one was that is is next to impossible to find groups if you play at odd hours (and can be challenging even during peak times)  Very fun and immersive game though.

All 3 have solid, mature communities.   EQ2 has a bit of a immature feel to it in the level 1-9 Chat channel, but other than that, it's great.

Ummmm Malivius, I am looking to play a nice P2P "MM"orpg and after reading your posts on Vangard I am seriously thinking of trying it out but the sad thing is there is no free trial so I will have to buy the game.

How is the grouping aspect in this game is it like FF XI. Everquest 2 is becoming more and more like WOW these days, they have totally ruined the grouping aspect of this game. I am currently downloading LOTR but after seeing what people have to say for it I am seriously considering abandoning it. Most of my friends are into consoles and shooters so I have to make new friends in every MMORPG and if there is no grouping aspect in a particular MMORPG then.....I discontinue it.

Vanguard is a game that can be solo'd for the most part to max level just like any other out there.  I think the difference is that the community itself enjoys grouping and getting to know one another.  As I've said before, I've been playing it for quite some time and I've never had a problem meeting people and grouping to do dungeons, epic-type questlines, or to just hang out and explore.

My wife and I play on Seradon.  If you decide to give it a shot, look me up.  Name's Aimen Findler.

Also, you can probably pick up the Collector's Edition of Vanguard from Ebay for about $7-10.  That includes the 30 days free, some in-game fun items, cloth map of the world, and an art book.  (plus 10 buddy keys to hand out to friends/people).

Anyway, hope you find the game that fits you best.  Good luck!
