I think it's so sad to breeze through the many post here about this game being sad, or sucking, because their PC's are crap that can't run the game right. Well let me tell you guys something, my PC has three year old hardware in it with a 7950 GTX nVida card in it, so you know I have a poor machine.
But you don't hear me crying about it in this post, sure I have performance issues, but I'm going to fix that. I plan on spending $2000 on upgraded parts, to my case. NO I don't have alot of money, I make only $1500 a month, so if I can do it you can do it.
It will be hard, but I am willing to put the cash together and run this game smoothly. I don't go around and blame a company because my PC sucks.
Blizzard Entertainment has really put a bad stain on the MMO market place these past three to four years; they spoiled the 90's generation like babies needing attention by their mothers. I wish I could take you fools back to the years of the old game systems.
The days of the Coleco Vision, Atari 2600, Sega Master System, the first Nintendo, and Super Mario Bros. days to see how you cry babies really have if, two bit graphics with only two colors red or blue. Today we have better graphics and powerful machines.
This 90's generation is indeed spoiled little brats that cry about every new game that comes out on the market place, Funcom should have given out Tissue Boxes, Pacifiers and Huggies Diapers alongside this game product when they launched it.
Sad thing is when WARhammer comes out this is going to repeat itself....................

you should read a lot of the post that critiques the game. Very little is because of PC Specs. Many of the posts that critiques the game are saying the game has other problems other than the PC specs.

Just so you know, save yourself some cash, I just purchased a whole setup comp system for $750 and I can play this game at max settings with 30 - 40 fps a second. Just find the deals or spend $500 in upgrades for your comp because thats all you will need!
I feel like I missed the point there somewhere....maybe if you do it again with a little more coddling we will understand better.
No, the sad thing is people shell out 2k for a comp to play a "game", i understand 2k isn't the norm, but even spending 500 bucks to be able to play a game is just..........stupid. There are children starving, people living on the streets, but lets spend our money for video games, that is what is sad
Well I just said $2000 thing to make a statement..... And it's not just for one game anyways, it's to perpare my PC for future games and products, so I don't have to worry about this kinda up grading for a long, long, time. It's nothing wrong about giving my PC another 5 year life spand.
My comp should be good enough to play the game. I bought a new vid card, my ram and cpu exceed the min requirements. I expected to be able to play at good fps. I can't no matter how hard I try and it's getting worse by the day. I bought an expensive computer 2.5 years ago, it should have a longer lifespan (and I upgraded ram and vid card).
AoC isn't good enough to get me to buy a new system. I can play all my other games fine. I don't like it any better than WoW. I can play one now with the comp I have and not spend a lot of money.
Maybe there will be anew driver or patch that will solve my problems, but for now I'm done with aoc. i refuse to play at 10 FPS.
Also, the solo content sucks after level 40. It's a blast til then.

The internet is no place for emotions other than envy, hatred, anger, shame and indignation. Thoughts that hold compassion, forethought, or any other sort of overarching realizations about higher meaning in life should be kept out of a venue of discussion such as an internet forum about video games.
You wouldn't put a diamond necklace around the neck of a rotten head of cabbage would you? Why try and shed light on a sewer. Some things are better left rotting in their own filth. It's all part of the food chain of intellect, everything has it's place. MMORPG forums (any of them not just this one) are typically situated at the bottom. The bottom of the internet...think about how low that place actually is.
Do you guys ever take a break from posting your negative comments about this game? Don't you have anything else to do? We get it already - you think it's a POS. Good...
So why are you still posting comment after comment essentially saying the same thing? Do you do it to satisfy your ego (hey everyone listen to me, my opinion surpasses everyone else's) or if at some point we hear that Funcom has closed shop and layed off it's staff, perhaps then you'll derive some perserve satisfaction from it? Is that wnat you're after? Blood?
Yes there are bugs and yes many of the critical bugs will be addressed over the coming weeks. The game hasn't been out all that long. I'm sure Funcom realise this have to be corrected, and soon.
As to design decisions...some like them, some don't. It's imposssible to please everyone as you know. S you don't like the instancing? Fine, we get it already. Those who find that they can't live with it will make up their own mind of the matter, the rest of us will enjoy the game and watch it evolve and grow.
I have to wonder why people become so rabidly tribal over a computer game? Don't you have better things to do with life than to constantly post the same negative bile over and over? Go outside and get some air, you're not doing your blood pressure any good...
If seeing others critique a game hurts your feelings then I heavily suggest that you ignore these kind of threads in the future.

Because you have the definitive word on Age of Conan. You haven't answered my question but rather respond with a strawman. Why the need to say the same thing over and over? Fair enough, feel free to post your reasons for not liking the game but why countless posts in countless threads with the same comments? You're not contributing to the discourse, merely demonstrating the size of your ego.
Like I said, Plateau01, if reading threads like this hurts your feelings or make you mad, then I would suggest ignore threads such as these.
