AoC didnt deliver

in Age of Conan: Unchained

This game is sub par. Combat is lacklusterI, group interface is clunky, mini map a joke, boring quests, did I mention boring quests?  It does have a couple neat things though...graphics and boobs. But seriously how long can those 2 things keep you playing?

    u should wait a few weeks/months like me.. if i still want it by then

    About to play: Lord of the Rings Online
    Played: Anarchy Online (alltime favorite) and lots of f2p titles (honorable mentions: 9Dragons, Martial Heroes, Dekaron, Atlantica Online)

    Okay.. so what do you want from people here??? hugs and kisses telling you its ok? Quit and move on son.  Why do you think people care about you quitting? Are you that well known here?

    I care.   I care very much about what people have to say about this game.   He isn't here to get sympathy for quitting.  He is here to give his opinion of the game.   Even vent a little.  This is a forum.  That is just one of the many reasons forums exist.

    Awe thats sweet.  Maybe it's just that I'm a cold hearted individual.  I look for legitimate posts about actual reviews of the game, saying boring quests, clunky this and that and breasts tell me nothing about the game.  Or is this a post trying to incite emotions of those who like the game.  I am trying to elicit a thoughtful descriptive post as to why someone is quitting.   Or should we all just hug?  If I'm way off base here, I will try and be nicer.

    I know what you mean. I've been playing the game for almost a week and I'm really getting bored with it. Ok so the graphics are great and the combat system is original, i'll give the game that much. But as the OP said, the quests are so damn boring. I feel like the only thing i'm doing is getting a quest, following the map to X killing stuff there and running back.. Then on to the next one.



    ! -> X -> ? -> ! -> X -> ? -> ! -> X -> ? -> Nuthouse



    It also seems that noone groups in this game, at least I've yet to find a group. Everyone just solos and imo a mmo should not be played 100% solo. My highest toon is a level 25 Barb and I can not bring myself to log on and do even one more damn kill quest...

    I'm 27 and have had a couple of groups, mostly to finish quests. I've asked individuals standing around. I haven't found the quests to be that bad, and in most cases flow nicely (I'm in the Stygian area) This game is not for all people, but at least you have the option of questing or joining a grind group...and they are out there. Future MMOs will very much be mostly solo, WoW has set the direction and major gaming companies will follow.

    just using wow as an example.

     

    i have 5 70's plus a couple 50's in wow and assuming I actually run a "instance" or a "raid instance" I don't recall ever really leveling or questing in a group. Why is not grouping with others and using the word instance in AoC such a bad thing.
