How to get character builder CD

in Everquest II

For those of us that don't know how.... how does one get the character builder CD?::::28::

    You need to preorder Everquest II (either the CD or DVD version, doesn't matter) from a gamestore like EB or Gamestop. I'm not sure how it works if you order online, but if you order it at one of the stores, they'll give you the CD as long as it is in stock.

    if you're ordering the CE like I did, you have to put 10 bucks down

    generic is 5 bucks down

    then they order it, and call you in about 2 weeks when they have it in stock

    I Pre-Ordered the CE online at EB Games (no charge) and they shipped me the CD immediatly.  Ordered on Sunday, got the CD's on Thursday.

    Eb Games website even has the shipping option to pick it up at the store ;)  Well, if its in stock...

    let's you create your character before hand

    and you get a pair of j boots in game

    There are two CDs. One has the Character Creator on it. The other has a couple videos and interviews on it. It also can check to see if your system can run the game, and give you offers on new hardware.

    The pre-order item is the J-boots, and you will only get one pair that can't be traded or sold.

    So, does the pre-character creation allow us to "reserve" a name for our EQII chars? I would assume yes, but I figured someone here would know. J boots, as in the formerly quested J boots? SCHWEET. image

    No, they don't allow you to reserve any names for the retail game unfortunetly. The character creation tool just lets you make one before hand and allows you to import into the real game when you get it.
