did try it, the server is packed and you get lag like hell...well beta
anyway, the game in open beta status doesnt support pvp and this was the reason i did quit it after some hours...the world is very small, only some maps. looks like a f2p game with item shops for me and belongs to the asian standard grinder probably. really not any new ideas or classes implemented, they did just change names i.e. shamane would be a fire mage with some additional heal skills and so on....i give warhammer the last chance lol
I got the exact opposite impression. They opened a second server today. And if you start in Crescent instead of Turba, its not that crowded.
Very pretty for a freebie. Still pretty buggy at this stage. Very gory and violent. Bodies gib and ragdoll when you kill stuff. I dunno what he's talkin' about tho. There's at least 2 separate PvP areas up now. Rumor has it there's lots of maps too, but you need to be 23 to leave the starter map, so I haven't seen any others yet.
Classes are a bit different. Templar is a caster/healer class. Shaman is also caster, but it's caster/melee, for example.
There's instanced dungeons and they're not the standard freebie tile and right-angle dungeons you usually get. These are actually somewhat natural looking instead of looking like a grid. I've only been in one on the starter map so far, and that one's just for one quest, so it's pretty tiny.
Very laggy at times, and I've been disconnected more than once, but that was earlier. Not so much anymore, now that the opening day rush is over.
Big client to download. 2.2 gigs. Not much for retail, but big for a freebie.
So far I like it, but I'm not really blown away. Tho I wont' form my final opinion of it till I get off the starter map and see what the real game looks like.
i was in the closed beta, and stopped playing due to internet issues. not im back in and patching as i speak.. im hoping there have been a few improvements since the first month of the closed beta. its one of the few mmos i didnt get bored of 10 minutes into playing

Then you might as well stop downloading right now.
The 2 servers are packed as hell. The areas for the first 20 levels are swarming with people everywhere. I even have characters in the 2 starting zones on both servers.
The huge amount of people is causing tons of lag and frequent disconnects(I get disconncted every 15 to 20 minutes). There's a maintenence today so hopefully they fix something, anything.
Early today the server was down for maintence. I also got that. The game should be back up. In order to access the game properly, you need to make sure the correct ports are open on a router and the firewall allows access of the game(requiem.exe) to the internet.
If you are getting an error message when registering an account, you probably have a problem with your browser. It could be the right security options are not set, or you are using an unsupported browser. If you are not using Internet Explorer, try that.
I logged in yesterday to try out the beta, and I didn't see anyone else. I was alone in a field killing what looks like dear, and within 10 minutes I was level 5. I haven't seen any quests yet, come to think of it I haven't seen any NPC's. I'm not sure what to do now since I'm alone in a snowy field with twicthing dear carcasses all around me. Please tell me there's more to this game...
gnat76 : when u make a character u can choose you starting area and u proabobly choose the one that existed during CB, the other, newer one has enough quests, npc's and players so i recomend you to make a new character and try that out, then you proabobly will get a better understanding of the game.

Did you even visit the starting town? You can press M to bring up a map to find a town if you're having trouble with that.
Also, when you do find town look for a NPC called an Agent. She has quests too.
The beginning is really rather crappy. The "level 1-10"-Class is annoying and imho it took way too long to choose your "real" class. E.g. if you wanted to be a mage, you had to spent hours of melee-fighiting. Just useless.
On the other hand, you didn't get ANY introdution at all. No intro-vid, no real tourtorial, no starting quest, just nothing. Everything's really strange...
Still, the PvP is much fun (in my opinion). I don't know why no-one hypes that. There are only 2 battlegrounds but it's fast and easy action. I even joined the BF when I was lvl10 and made a kill (it's capped from lvl10 to lvl19 for example), and I really enjoyed the time.

Yeah, they really need to just remove the first 9 levels entirely. That complete crappiness of those levels combined with the class change quest equates to people leaving the game before actually playing it. When you make a character you choose the class at creation is the way it should be done.
Again, true. They explain nothing in game. So many features go unused or misunderstood because they are not properly explained in game. The crafting system is great when you know how it is done, unfortunately initial trial and error is pretty much guaranteed.
Gravity needs to stop listening to the hardcore players and start thinking of the newcomers.
Anyway, I'm pretty much done with it for now. I'll be back for the release because I don't want to get high level then have my character wiped.
A team of professionals spends over $20 Million dollars to create a FREE mmorpg and all you guys can do is cry about it.
I played everything from 2moons, to grand esponaza, 2moons recently got an overhaul and if you uninstalled before that on a laptop watch out-cause it doesn`t work anymore AND to boot everyone praised 2moons BECAUSE it got lots of positive advertising, so naturally everyone raved it - in reality, they have no alert dept, as to thier mistake, and there goes 50mil down the drain.
Forget Rappelz, nice design, but only 1 map? I mean no wonder its free, and besides everyone knows that! Shadowbane...fix your crosshair navigation system and make it 360 guys!
But BLOODYMARE is one of the better games that has come along in quite a while, and I am sure this one is going to the top, actually after testing out all the other suger-coated mmos out there -- bloodymare deserves more credit, cause it really is good.
And for the rest of you out there, ignore the naysayers out there, they always stop themselves, before they get started...if you don`t like it buy WOW!!
The game isn`t the problem, its your refusal to play it correctly.

I logged in today and found the starting town, ran some quests and actually saw a bunch of people running around the town. I've run a few quests now and I'm actually pretty impressed, if this stays free to play I'll keep it.
Crybabies! Boo Hoo! A team of professionals spends over $20 Million dollars to create a FREE mmorpg and all you guys can do is cry about it.
What do you expect? all I get a a "Error qhwatever 06". A team of one unprofessional can spend 20 cents to create a VB application that mimick that beavior.
Maybe I have to redownload it? Yep, as seems no one as this one bug...
I always assumed F2P games would be pure crap. I tried shaiya that was alright, too much like lineage 2 i think. Im playing this the last few days, only lvl 16 but quite enjoying it, so far it feels really like WoW, like the questing, the instances and my class(shaman) and the general feel of the way my character moves.

BUMP!.,... any suggestion to fix that problem? I don't want to start a thread just for that..
