I was 13 back in the summer of 98. My older brother's friend introduced him to it and I picked it up from my brother. I remember coming home from school one day and finding my older brother and his friend sitting in front of the family computer. My brother was playing it for the first time but left with his friend to go somewhere before I even got a chance to see what it looked like. I sat there for like 2 hours staring at the log-in screen(brother didn't tell me Password), watching the intro, and day-dreaming about this classic picture: steve.sky.net.ua/~alex_shadow/images/Ultima%20Online1.jpg
My first city was Minoc and that night I dreamed about the game. The fact that I was young, this was my first ever MMORPG, and UO was cutting edge made it a really memorable event.
My friend played the game. He was talking about it one night while we were talking on the phone and I was like "what do you do?"
He said...I don't know, just everything. You can do anything you want.
I was confused. lol Keep in mind the only PC game I played was doom and duke nukem. I was a console dude for some time.
So then he brought the game to school one day and told me I could try the demo. At that time the t2a game had a single player demo you could try. So I did and I ended up not liking it. So months passed and so did my birthday. I was 15 then.
For some reason I wanted to try the game again. So my friend let me play on his account once and BOOM, I was hooked.
So I guess you could say I was 15 when I first started it, since the little demo doesn't count. Man I miss UO
I started playing May 2000, but tried the demo in September 1999.

I was 7 years old. My dad got the game in 1997, and I would play (or more just do random things) whenever he wasn't home. Still the most fun in a game I've had in a long time.
I was 21. I had been playing Quake Team Fortress almost every night through gamespy and found this game at the store.
I remember logging in and getting lost in Vesper and not knowing what I wanted to do with my character. I ended up in Britian and headed north where people were at the blacksmith repairing and scamming armor. I then went to the graveyard where people were fighting skeletons and each other.
I remember the mage shops being sold out of reagents during peak hours.
I remember alt tab out of combat and peacemaking pkers while running through the woods.
I remember provoking wisps on pkers and looting their bodies. Those were the days.
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
