So i bought a 8800 gts 320 mg video and 2 gig of ram. Needless to say, neither one fits in my computer. I figure that means my computer is to old anyway and i need to get another one. I noticed some posts here where alot of you seem knowledgeable on building computers. Could someone tell me a decent board and case i could get for these since i am not sure. the 8800 gts is a pci express and ram is 2 gig ddr 6400. thanks.

It will also depend on the processor you are looking to use... AMD/Intel?
But for further knowledge, you will need to find a motherboard with PCI Express slot(s) i think you need a 16x for the 8800 gts.
For the RAM its recommended you buy RAM in pairs, so for 2 gig you should have either 2 x 1gig modules or maybe 4 x 512mb modules, all of the same type. Your board will take either DDR or DDR2 RAM modules, if you have the wrong type of RAM it wont fit on the board.
Hope that helps,
is your hdd SATA or IDE and what processor do you use
IDE
SATA
Thx for the responses..i was thinking amd since i have that now. Also. i bought the ram in 2 x 1gig sticks so i hope that will work with new board. According to your pics, i have ide cables.
this is a good bored
ASUS
also what amd processor do you have. just want to make sure it wont bottle neck your 8800
This computer has a dual core amd 3800+ (2 ghz)
mostly your motherboard dont have PCI-E, or DDR2.. and you motherboard ONLY can support AGP, DDR,
So I think you need a new motherboard, PSU. My suggestion if you don't know how to build one, then go buy a Barebone that have (case/motherboard/cpu/psu) and you just plug in the ram + video card + harddrive and of course instal Vista($99 oem)
HOW BIG IS YOUR POWER SUPY. YOU MANY NEED A NEW ONE
