Main MMO before AoC = Vanguard, active sub: DDo/Lotro

Main MMO after AoC = Vanguard, active sub: DDo/Lotro

After looking at his list, I can sadly say I've given at least 3 months to every single game listed there.  Gave nearly 3 1/2 years (CB-BC) to WoW.  Damn, these companies milk me for a lot of coin.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

I wager 90% of AoC players came directly from WoW, and near 100% of AoC players had played WoW at some point.  I actually took time off from MMOs totally, left WoW a year ago, now come to AoC.

Given WoW's numbers, you shouldn't be far off. As for the poll, too early to tell. 16 votes are not even statistically meaninful

Well I am still playing LoTRO but thought I would give AoC a try.

You seem to be assuming we plan on playing this game for more than the free 30, which is a hell of  a assumption considering that even the average MMORPG only retains 25 to 30 % of it's players after the free month. Considering the posts over on the general and tech forums , AoC will be lucky to retain 10%

    I miss DAoC

Sorry if you got that impression.  As the OP, I was simply curious as to what "fanbase" we all were on these boards.  I see obviously more comments on WoW than other games, but just wanted to see what other games people play.

Like you, I still play LotRO, and plan to continue having it as my primary MMO long after the newness of Conan wears off (judgement is still out there for me).  I know that LotRO will be on my system for a few years.  I did not  mean to imply that all participants in the poll were completely abandoning their old games.
