Can a higher level player lower themself?

in Age of Conan: Unchained

I know about the apprenticeship where a lower level friend can level up to your level. I have a friend who got the game today and I was wondering if there is an option I missed to level down to their level.

I really didn't want to start over, but wanted to show them some of the ins and outs of the game.

I think in CoX it is called exmplar? Something similar?
