Hello.
I got AoC a few days ago and have been merrily playing.
I went to their forums yesterday & was drawn to a post in the off topic forum.
This post contained hilarious messages supporting this game. Until a moderator came and locked it for being off topic. In an Off Topic forum!!!
I then complained and asked why an Off Topic forum was locked for being Off Topic and reminded the moderator that we were in an Off Topic forum.
Before I knew it I was banned from the forums until 24th November. A 6 month ban with no given reason or explanation.
Now, when I go to contact customer support my forum ban does not permit me to contact FunCom in any way, whatsoever.
I have no idea what I have done to deserve such a lengthy ban, and currently have no way of contacting anyone exept maybe a GM in-game. I doubt this will result in anything.
He should be sent back to school or something as he really should not be moderating a mature forum.
His name is Tahitwat or somthing ridiculous like that.
I will be posting my message of unfairness and incompetence on every AoC forum I find until somone can help me.

Don't fight the forum moderators with funcom
1. They are volunteer so Im sure they could care less if they get let go (for forum abuse). (I was a forum moderator for Anarchy Online as ARK. I can tell you from first hand experience some of em were forum moderators to get the free monthly pass. They could care less about their work...not saying all of em but i know of a few)
2. Two of the AoC forum moderators are Goonheim guildmembers. If you know anything about Goonheim then you know if you even remotely question them they will destroy you lol.
Best thing to do is get the moderators name and report him. Via funcom's main contact information.

Actually, if his post is any indication, the Moderator who banned him would be Tahitoa. I believe he/she is an employee with FC, since I have seen her ever since I've started posting on the Forums and in Beta as well.
While I know he/she is rather strict, I have never seen her/him be unfair. *shrugs* I wonder what message the OP posted that caused this. Care to share?
Edit: Also, how does a Forum Ban keep you from sending an E-Mail to the support team?

this is assuming the OP is being truthful. If he is telling the truth he can probbaly get his ban appealed. If he's lying, the contact info wont work out for him

It was a thread with hilarious messages of support for this game, displayed in many ways. The main thing was a little cute bunny animation with a posh English accent. Seriously, it got to more than 5 pages. It was so funny until it got locked.
Also, it was in Off Topic. The reason it got locked was for being Off Topic. ... that is ridiculous.
I have no way to contact FunVCom, im somehow blocked form contacting them.
I have not tried email yet though, is there some way I can email somone?
Yeah I've had a run in with Tahitoa before. She's extremely strict, I got banned by her for posting a nonsensical but harmless post.
I forgot what it was exactly, something like, "If the left wing falls off a west-bound train going 200 km/h, how many pancakes can you fit in a doghouse?".
I have a feeling she sees the ban button as a cure-all.

Contact customer support telephone number, when they say your not entiteld to support reply that they will support you or VISA/MASTERCARD will be more then willing to support the chargeback (in which they incur a nice little fee and it gets added to their ratio). Hit them where it hurts the pocket book, then you start to see results.

I mentioned "if he was telling the truth" Ill make it easier on you. Its on the first page 5th page down. Also, if you think people on the ARK didn't talk like that?? Please. The head trainer made my comment look like a sunday morning sermon. Ive had many of an elightened chats with amany of ARK on IRC back in its heyday.

I have posted this on another 3 or 4 sites too, in the hope somone sees it and lets that moderator know.
This site helped though, I have just emailed FunCom so I feel no need to continue my crusade of innocence. Will try not to let it it get to me although it is very maddening.

i too have been banned by tahidiot, but only for under a month, bit crazy you got a 6 month stonker :O which e-mail can i send my complaint to, now that theyve stopped actually posting patch notes in the patcher the only way you can grab them is on the forums, and guess what if you are banned you cant even view them. Funcom's support is a joke, its like they have no structure at all.
once i get my forum access back i think i will start gathering evidence of the bans she is carrying out, and in what circumstances so i can get her fired. its what she deserves.

Report her if you feel shes violated her terms of service. Her superiors can review everything she's locked or banned so if people do report it, Im sure funcom will launch a former investigation.
They are pretty good with weeding out the corrupted ones.

Was one of them maybe a picture of uncensored hardcore porn, with e.g. the woman stating "nah, I think I'll play AoC instead"? See, that can be really hilarious, and supportive of the game, but is also completely inappropriate and grounds for a permanent ban imo.
So you take your personal and most likely biased version of the matter to multiple other sites, naming the moderator and claiming to the public that the "punishment" was wrong without even showing us the extent of the "crime", and hope that will show Funcom that you're a nice guy? :-)
Not saying you're wrong or that the suspension was fair. But you could have just asked "how do I get in touch with Funcom about a forum suspension?" and left it at that.
The reason given for thread lock was Off Topic.

As a matter of fact there were a lot of people who will have witnessed it, and I most certainly did not deserve a 6 month ban with no way of contacting support from my account. I sent a petition but still number 15 in the queue after many hours ...
Make your own decisions but go there and have a look. See for yourself if you can.
The topic in question is on EU forums, in off topic. I don't remember the name of it exactly it started "For those" or "For everyone " and had a thumbs up icon next to the topic title, with around 5 or more pages of good messages. It will have dropped a page or two now but yea ...
And the reason I went posting this on a few websites was to get help or support from somewhere else, seeing how I'm completely blocked from FunCom customer support strangely. Also to warn people.

too bad the tech support forum does not get as much attention. We have a ten plus page thread on the crash at startup problem and no mod has even bothered to reply. Come to think of it but I don't recall seeing tehm reply to many if any other messages there either.
Also as far as their email tech support, I have had a email ticket in for 48 hours now on the same game breaking problem and other than a auto reply have not heard a word.
Lot's of complaints on the ingame tech support also but since the game has not ran for me since Tuesdays morning's patch I can't comment on that.
On Funcom's customer support I give them a grade of -1
I miss DAoC
