Free Trial anytime soon?

I am just curious if there will be a free trial anytime soon?  That graphics look great, and I would just like to give the game a try.

Will there be a free trial soon?

    Mike,

    They haven't (and probably won't) given a solid date for the free trial.  I know they are feverishly working on it and see it as a top priority. 

    With the fixes we saw today and the ones going to test next week, I don't imagine it will be too much longer (though that is purely speculation).  I know the devs are ready for a trial and I'm sure they are excited and ready to show people what they've been able to accomplish so far.

     

    *Disclaimer*  I only give credit where it's due (I couldn't stand playing in beta/release, but SOE has brought the game a long way since they took over (performance/bug/fixing wise), even if they're gameplay decisions aren't always what I want.

    TLDR version: Not yet, but it's on the way.  You can pick up the game for $7-10 at many online retailers or ask for a buddy key.  I know quite a few guys who've just bought the CE have keys they're handing out.

    Chances are I'll pick up the game at a store or just wait for a key.  I'll be going to Target later on this week hopefully they sell PC games there (not really sure).

    I hope you find a copy in retail as I haven't seen one in a few Best Buys around me. Not sure if they stopped shipping copies or what. But the EBay or Amazon option may be a much cheaper option.

    I ordered 5 Collector Editions today from various internet sources so soon I will be able to hand out 50 Buddy keys if you haven't found a  box by then.

    Wow is there any particular reason why you ordered 5 copies of the CE? I personally picked mine up from the local FYE. They were having a 75% clearance on PC games so got my copy for $7.50. Thought it couldn't hurt paying near 8 bucks to try the game out for a month.

      Having just rediscovered the game this last weekend I realized this is where I want to spend my virtual world time. I kept going from WoW, EQ2, LOTRO, CoH and I tried AoC. I respect and admire all of those games but VG felt the most immersive to me and I haven't felt that sense in a long time. So I decicded to buy as many Collectors Editions as I could so can spread the love of VG since it seems many people are just waiting for a trial to give the game a chance.And they were super cheap too.
