I love any caster class. What is the most powerful caster class in AOC. I want to burn faces and burn them fast. 
What do you guys think is the most powerful class and why?

Unfortunately the pure caster classes are pretty gimped at the moment in AoC. Especially with the recent nerfs to Demonologist and Necros. Priest classes however are great. They do more damage than the caster classes, have better armor, can wear a shield, and heal. Pure casters are a joke right now. Even caster itemization is terrible. You see most casters running around at like 50-60 wearing level 20-gear. So I would suggest either being a priest or melee class.
Just curious, what was the nerf to necros and demos?
I'm enjoying the hell out of my Herald of Xotli. It does a lot of AOE damage. Definitely not a pure caster by any means but you do get to light people on fire, rip their hearts out, and decapitate people.

Tempest of Set is a excellent priest class to play. A priest that can AOE nuke and heal can be pretty deadly. The lightning part of the skill tree own if you choose this path.
Even though I am playing a Dark Templar, I wanted to create a priest class as well for a guild backup. Priest of Mitra are awesome and the Bear Shaman comes to his own in the mid 20's (A Priest that can wear medium armor) is crazy!
So I would say, any of the above Priest Classes, you will be wanted and you will own!
Cant believe how much im enjoying my herald of xorti, whats better than a caster with a huge two handed sword
. Lost of fire power in this class, can nuke things pretty fast and again its very enjoyable i definately reccommend this class as its under rated aswell

Level 25 Demonologist checking in. Great class, the only thing I have to compare it to is the Assassin, which I used in Beta. I prefer the Demonologist right now, although in fairness, I only reached about level 13 or so with Assassin.
The Mage classes are not the same nuker types as the Tempest. Herald of Xotli is a heavy-damage close-combat Mage, and while its damage is excellent it doesn't really play like a caster. Demonologist and Necromancer are both pet classes, meaning an significant (and increasing with level) part of their damage comes from pets, and their spell damage thus drop off in power.
So I'd definitely suggest Tempest of Set. It seems to be the Flavour of the Month on many servers at the time, which is for a reason. ;-)
