Is anyone running on a p4 3ghz?

I know it's bad...I'm getting really poor fps on all settings (little difference between low-high settings) and feel that I should be getting a higher frame rate than say...10 or less in towns.

I'm using a HD3650 512mb gpu but it doesn't seem to be utilizing as much gpu % as it probably should, and I've heard about this problem with similar cards. But am I wasting my time hoping for a miracle patch which will make my fps more steady and playable?

I have 3gig ram, so that isn't really a problem, and I can run a lot of other games fine with little slowdown.

i am running a pent 4 3ghz and i can tell you i have the same problem.  Im running on low right now and i still get stutter and lag.  The game looks fine on low so i dont really mind.  im using a geforce 8800GT 512 mb GPU, and i have 3.5gb ram.  i thott that would make a difference but i guess not.

upgrading to a core 2 duo and getting a motherboard that can support core 2 duos shouldnt be too expensive go to newegg.com  and look around, it is usually good to sort by rating and then by price if rating doesnt help, usually you can tell if the product is good if it has a lot of reviews and a 5 star rating

lol i have dell e510 and my mobo cant hold a dual core.  i was gonna get a new mobo all together but my parents wouldnt let me. too much money too much work, they said.  Hopefully in a years time ill have a new PC thats even better..  ive had the one im using now for about 3 years, and when i got it there was no option for dual core, just pent 3 ghz was the best there was.  And look how fast the PC generation grows.  2 years games are already requiring higher specs than i have.

I'm not really that knowledgeable about my computer, or computers in general...but I don't think I can upgrade my Dell anymore than I already have done. (Dell dimension 8400).

well, i went to a forum and asked some people on there about my motherboard and they are the ones that told me i couldnt upgrade, along with a guy at my dad's work thats a PC repairman.  You may be able to upgrade your graphics card more.  Is your ATI up there in the top ranks of GPU's?

I did attempt playing with my old comp (which was a P4)... but was well below the req. in almost everything, including the processor... it was only 2.66 GHz...

that is my last time I try to play a video game below the required... my old comp almost blew up.

I ran a p4 3 ghz till today, upgraded for 70 euros to an asrock 4coredual mobo with an e2180 that I hardmod overclocked to 3 ghz. Game runs infinitely better now.

It is DX9 that is the problem not your cpu. DX10 utilizes your gpu a hell of alot more taking the load off of cpu. but because funcom decided not to release the DX10 client as promised you will be stuck with a heavy load on cpu for things that the gpu can handle and some...

ha lol small world, cause that is exactly what i did. upgraded my 3ghz to a asrock 4coredual with an E2180 overclocked it to 2.9ghz. easy over clock too. but ya last i was in CB it made a huge difference from just a 3ghz single core.
