Finding a Good Game is Tough

Am I the only one who can't find a good game? I mean, I've tryed alot of games. And I'm seriously dissapointed, I've tryed Starwars Galaxies, Eve-Online, Earth and Beyond and Ragnarok. None interest me! What the hell? I need sugestions, I need a good game with a storyline, multiplayer. I don't like games were you gotta basicly do it on your own. No quests, or story missions or anything of interest. I mean MMORPG's. "RPG" puzzles, quests, storys. hello? Earth and Beyond had story, had more content then the others. But it's going offline.. I'm just really pissed.. I've only got 800mhz, 384mbs of ram, 128mb of video (Radon 9200) and 5.1 Digital Audegy Soundcard. I'm look'n for a good game, somthing that'll keep me going for a long time. HELP!! image

    The games I have enjoyed most were Project Visitor, NeverwinterNights(Multiplayer persistant worlds), Everquest, and COH to a degree(It was fun, but got old.)

    ive tried all those games too. only one that kept me after the free month was DaoC, although i did like SWG and CoH, it just got boring after a month for me.

    if you are just killing time till one of the new blockbusters comes out, try Rubies of Eventide, its a little rough at first glance but it really is an awesome game , open ended skill system. ive made about 14 chars in like a month i been playing.
    also its free, donations keep it going but you are in no way forced to donate(although i did, i like what the gm's are trying to do)

    I would say wait and see how WoW or EQ2 turn out, but from the amount of exclamation points you used on help I'm going to guess that you want a game now. image I would also suggest AC2, or some of the older games like DAoC or EQ. Graphics aren't as purdy as SWG, but the content is there in the other games I mentioned.image

    It has the most varied gameplay of any game coming out.

     If they haven't interested you from the beginning, i doubt they will satisfy your craving now. I too have tried COH, AO, SWG and now EVE.

     After my initial liking for EVE, i am now feeling a little jaded with the game. I think that anyone that has played mmorpgs for 3 or 4 years must have a feeling of "done that bought the t-shirt" syndrone. Everyone complains about the inability to solo, unable to find groups, games with no content, emphasis on loot...etc.

     Take a break from mmorpg's and enjoy the sun, have a beer at the pub and socialise in the real world for a bit..lot more content out there :)

     They haven't released it yet, but keep your eyes peeled for an open beta.

    Well it looks like Dark and Light isn't out yet, hasn't started the beta even. But the download for Rubies of Eventide on fileplanet is 118 minute wait oh boy... :( But we'll see. Thanks for the sugestions. Free games are awsome, cuz I'm really leaning twards WoW cuz it looks nice. EQ always turned me off, I didn't much like it.

    Actually Dark and Light is in closed beta with open beta scheduled before the end of the year. Next wave of beta testers goes in during September.

        How long did you play each of those games? What level did you make it to and/or professions did you master? Every single MMORPG (unfortunatly) needs at least roughly 4 months of time invested in order to get a real feel of what each MMORPG is about and has to offer.

     EnB is dead. There are TONS of other MMORPGs in the left side menu you did not mention. I recommend you try out Anarchy Online and see how you like it.

      You need to seriously upgrade your RAM. 1 GIG RAM needed to play current modern MMORPGs, and future 4th Generation MMORPGs like EQ2, GW, and others. You should still be able to play AO on minimum settings though. And if you really are searching for multi-player immersion, consider making it a point to join a Guild, PA, clan, etc....

     As for puzzles.... hmmm..... maybe EQ. Completing many quests are puzzling.

     

      IMHO you should also spend a few hours just defining what your personal gamestyle is. Do you like hunting and battling other players? How many hours a day do you play? 16 hours a session? Or 1 to 3 hours each session? Do you especially enjoy Sci-Fi? Or lean more heavily towards Medieval themed-games? You already said you like grouping more than soloing... that is a start in defining what your personal playstyle is.

    Well I can't aford to buy more ram. On SWG I mastered alot of professons. I've played more then 4 months thanks. I tryed Anarchy Online, but I ain't gonna play a 7 day trial and have to put in my credit card number. I don't like the whole EQ idea, I'm interested in WoW, and Pirates of The Burning Sea more.

    ummmm i got a good game it called ogre iland  it a lil bad but that commeing out with some really coll stuff   it cool if u in to been ing elf and like sowrd man and killing manster u shold try it it really fun if u need me my name is god13 on the game when i play it i feelimage

    You kinda just described FFXI in terms of gameplay requirements, but I'm not to sure if your system can handle it.  Also FFXI is sort of hit or miss with most people(mostly due to the way servers/characters/GUI are set-up).  Personally it kept me entertained for 3 months before I had to cancel(had no time to play mmorpgs image).
