Ran out of quests

I ran out of quests at lvl 43. It looks like this game will be a big grind, with only a few quests at each level

yeah lvl 40-50 isnt good for quests.  Just try to grind it until 50ish then youll get some more.

(it wont be as in abundance as when  you hit 20 and left tortage island.)

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

You might want to try getting abit involved with the community, trying different things within AoC other then quest, MMORPG's can be so much more.........

I am not saying your are not involved with the community cause i could not make that out of your post but when i see someone talking "grind" i feel such person isn't actualy playing the genre MMORPG but merly is playing a GAME.

yes ...yes it's a game but mmorpg's like i said can be so much more then JUST a game.

Well the crafting ins't any good. There is no open world to explore. So there really isn't much else to do in this game

Shame to hear about crafting, tho it probebly will take me some time before even reaching crafting lvl ( still 40 right?) and reading most complaints i aint planning on trying to go faster on the lvling (lvl 16now). by the time i reach it it will most likely be working or i might have left the game, not because of the game but mostly because of TIME.

they would have to acknowledge that their complaint is unjustified, and they would have less to bitch about. They don't want that.

Map of what, grinding spots, im done with nobels and FoD, no quests done with everything else, the only qyest i have in my log is my destiny quest, and maybe the repeatable ones that are worth 2000 xp from the wanted posters in FoD, are you playing the same game i am? And you better not say do the bugged out quests in Nobels, its retarded and stupid that they would release such an unfinished game

i guess most people that complain about a mmorpg not being finished has never played one before. NO mmo is ever finished, no mmo is released bug free / full content.  There is so much work that goes into a mmo that its impossible to get every little bug out. it takes a long time to get a game perfect.  Why do people not realize this?

No its never finished and i have prolly played more MMo's than you my friend, but, heres the catch, almost every mmo ive played besides FFXI, have atleast a good amount of quests or objectives for a good amount of the game. This game has a good start then it just goes blank in the content department, then you get some more quests in the Mountains, then it goes blank again..... Its like a jelly donut with no jelly

They focused too much on Endgame IMO and not enough body in the game. All this hype and im given a freaking grind LOL, Dont get me wrong the PvP in the game is amazing, but everything else is just bleh

Yeah MMOs are never done developing but people expect a certain amount of content/playability when they release. Don't lie and say you don't. Now, what those expectations are obviously differ, sometimes to the extremes, depending on the person and the hype/promises of the game. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing that AoC runs out of quests because I haven't experienced it. From what I've heard, it slows down, then picks up again a bit when you hit 40-60.

    EDIT: Spelling errors.

    --------------------------------------
A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

I don't see how it is possible to run out of quests at level 43! I am level 48 and I still have plenty to do.

This is what my personal progression was like:

40 - 42: Noble District of Old Tarantia

42 - now: Fields of the Dead (you have to run through Conall's Valley to get here). The mobs in FOTD range from 38 - 50.

FOTD has plenty of quests! with about 6 of them being repeatable kill quests which autocomplete for about 4000 xp per quest.

I have also read about people having quest issues at about level 50, but even then it turned out that those people were looking in the wrong place (you get a bunch back at Old Tarantia?? mebbe... I wont get to that spot until this weekend).

Anyway, the moral of the story is that at the mid levels people keep having problems and cry about lack of content but it is because they aren't looking in the right spot. FC probably needs to help people along with a couple more "report to blah in foobar" to help things along, but until that time you should use the official AoC forums to help yourself along if you get stuck. There is plenty of info there.

Hopefully someone will put out a leveling guide in the near future. I am working on a basic guide just to help out my guild members but I have only covered levels 20 - 40 so far: narguild.com

    good luck!

Well even my favorite game ( LoTRO) had a quest shortage from mid 30's to mid 40's at release.

Anyway I am glad I am a slow leveler but I have been hearing the same complaint from my more catassing friends. I still have not made it out of Tortage due to the technical problems I was experiencing.

    I miss DAoC

Didn't you post the other day that you're quitting until the performance gets better?

nope not me, the game performs fine for me. Open country I play at medium settings as long as I turn shadows off, in dungeons I can go to high with good FPS.

The game was crashing at launch from the Tuesday morning patch right up to this afternoon when suddenly for no reason it began working fine again. I think my cat decided he was tired of hearing me cursing Funcom and got a temp job with them as a tech and fixed the game for me.

    I miss DAoC

Almost every MMO period has had problems regardless of which ones you name.  Sure they arent all the same but then again everyone complaining about them is complaining beause of 1 problem or another.  Given that your particular issue is lack of quests, which I might add some other people dont seem to be having.  Yet again you can mention other problems, and again other people will have an opposite response to your statement.  Most people are actually posting that they focused too much on the early game and not enough on the late game, I wonder which one is it?  BTW every MMO has a grind point regardless.  Quest Grinding, level grinding, gear grinding...however you want to call it, grinding is grinding and its in every MMO.  If you FEEL the grind at 40-60 and are having so much an issue as to post it on here, perhaps the game is not appealing to you and you should try something else?  Then again I feel the grind myself when I play AOC but I usually talk to friends and guildies or group with them and its not much of a problem.  If this game doesnt do it for me, Im going to try WAR next, and if that still doesnt do it, I may just stick with WoW untill something worthwhile comes around.  AOC is a great game in its own right, and i have faith that Funcom will fix/patch anything to make it better, lets all just give them some time to do it

Around 47 or so you get more quests in both the nobles and field of dead.  In both zones there are a few repeatable quests you can do but honestly grinding in FoD is really the only option.  At least you can grind the repeatable kill quests.  Going to Noble and doing the repeatable villa quests is really a waste since they don't respawn any mobs so it takes about a minute to do each once you know where the items are you need to pick up...  Also one of the villa quests that is repeatable is bugged and doesn't work.  So it's not worth making the 40 minute run from FoD for the two working quests :(
