what will happen to this game, will it fail or succeed or maybe just end up like normal mmo's, just survive. I hope u will cast ur vote and write why u think what u just voted.

It will success.
Surviving is success for MMOs, and WAR will survive, I think. I estimate a respectable player base of a couple hundred thousand.
It will do fine, even very fine, but from all the stuff in those podcasts, I have this strange feeling that even though fun it'll get very boring, very fast.
I think it will succeed...
All the other obvious reasons aside, but imo the tremendous replay value inherent in the persistent dynamic PvP environment will be the major reason for its success further down the line.
These days an MMO is a smashing success if it gets a steady half a million subscribers. I don't see how WAR could possibly not get at least that.
In the old days it was but I don't think any developer with a bigname MMO is gonna call it a succes if they only end up with 500k people these days, even though it may turn a profit on those numbers alone.
So succes yes, but smashing succes with 500k? Not in my opinion.
It will succeed of course, given that they will be opening up server in aussie to cater to south east asia players, i think this game will sub around a million (keep fingers cross!). If they are more aggressive in their marketing to europe and china in future than we can expect this game to steadily raise in sub.
But to be about the same as WoW? I dont think so...

Its going to succeed because its not how great the game looks! Its all about how many of the MMO player base can run the game! WoWs success is cause it can be run on a GForce 2 card{yes I've tested and played it on one before.}
Mythic is making a game just like Blizzard did thats not only going to be fun but is in the target range of the existing MMOers without costing them but $50 to purchase the game.
Seriously I believe that once the majority of the MMO player base out there that has never played RvR yet gets to taste it, thats all its going to take. I expect WAR to easily hit at least 1.3 million players in the first 3 months if not more.

i dont think it will fail, but i cant say it will succeed either, becous of the bad games atm, swg, then vanguard, i hope it will succeed, it has so much to offer, why wouldt it succeed, i just hope we dont get tricked like Sigil did with us, on the other side, sigil dident know what they were doing, first game

WAR will come out... no doubt about that
It will have succes and a huge playerbase
and then people will ask the normal question... "Shall WAR kill WOW?" ...who cares?

I think its going to do verry well but I kinda agree with King. So long as the servers stay open and the community is decent who gives a flip? Sure the more subs the more money. Yea that could mean more content but ya know what, right now I would be happy with a solid MMO. The market severly needs it. That also includes customer service which well.....Lets just hope EA/Mythic gets that part right.

I predict 500.000 at start, and then a progressive increase to 1.000.000 in one year or so.

agreed as along as there is enough people to not run into the same group every time i run out into RVR ill be fine the game has great replay value and a lot of content to start off..+ they are building the game to be able to add content and expansions and what not.WAR will be a great game and have over 1 million players (IMO)
The ticker doesn't include Asia, so you can expect more than that in the future.

It depends on how you define success; but I do however believe that the game will succeed - at least in the way that I consider success. I believe, and hope, that the game will deliver fun PvP and upon doing so I at least believe the game is a success.
I refuse to vote. I have only seen vapor up to this point. This strawman poll is worthless.
