Mac Bootcamp & MMOs question

MahloMahlo Member UncommonPosts: 814
Does anyone play MMOs on their mac using bootcamp? As I understand it it's just like booting up windows on a PC. Is this so? Will it play the latest games like AoC and Vanguard ok? Are there any issues I should know about before purchasing a copy of Windows?

Not to sound rude or anything, but ditch the mac and get a real Gaming Pc to game on.  Macs aren't really made to be gaming on. save yourself the fustration and build a easy game rig.  the internet offers tons of info how to build one and it don't take a rocketsurgeon to do.

Oh, I forgot to say - No, buy a PC instead, replies.

My partner's business, which I work for, bought the mac. It has a 24 inch monitor. I'm going to try games on it. I've had Macs in the past and they've always been good for playing games. The only problem being availability.

edit: Actually, I found a useful thread elsewhere specifically about the performance of AoC in bootcamp.

People with similar specs to mine have found it okay, so I will probably give it a go. Or look at Vanguard.

When you use BootCamp to boot into Windows you're doing just that - running Windows.  It's no different to running Windows on any other PC.  The only thing you'll need to consider with games is the hardware requirements.
