Yeah, go ahead blame fileplanet. or should we say GameSpy Industries. It is a very typical thing for us from the US to do pass the blame onto someone else and not take responcibility for our own actions. No wonder why the rest of the world think everyone from our country is a bunch of idiots.

Fileplanet nor GameSpy Industries didn't fool anyone. It is more like so many people jumped the gun to race to the download and get a key before they ran out. It even says right there on the first page that you can sign up for a key or if you don't want to wait you can get a 3 month subscription to Fileplanet and there won't be no wait and a guarranty you will get a key.

For the one guy that says you have to buy a subscription to Fileplanet to sign in you are wrong. If you own GameSpy Arcade, GameSpy or even Roger Wilco you already have a login and password with GameSpy. You don't have to pay anything to use them tools either, unless you don't want little advertisements in a little window. can we all say DOH!!!!

It isn't Blizzards fault as much as it isn't GameSpys fault. It is the fault of people that rush to be first and never read anything but the text in large fonts. That is such a typical advertisement routine that most anxious people follow like a mule with a carrot. Don't blame the advertisers for your Homer Simpson behavior.

Now I think I am starting to see why other countries think were are so Arrogant/Ignorant.

Well, lets give a big DOH for all the ones that paid $45 for a guaranteed spot in the seven day stress test in WoW.

Oh BTW, didn't any of you that paid ever stop to think that even after the 7 day stress test they will eventually have a open beta to help advertise it before it is released? LMAO....HAHAHAHA!!!!

I am not a FilePlanet subscriber, so how can I get into the WoW Stress Test without paying?  I thought you can only join the test if you subscribe to FilePlanet?

Yes, you do have to subscribe to Fileplanet to get in.  What so many people seem to have missed is the fact that you can sign up for free.

    1.  When the sign ups FIRST started, only paid members could sign up.  This was so that Fileplanet could allow paid subscribers their guaranteed slot.  If you actually read through the "subscribe now for $" ad, there was a link at the bottom that said "no thanks, I want ad-supported Fileplanet".  That link took you to another ad...which had a choice that said something about taking your chances on getting into the test by being a free subscriber.  For the first day, if you chose that link, it said that the sign ups were limited to paid members only for a short time and would open up to everyone within a few days.

    2.  When they did open it to everyone, they put a new link on the front page that takes you DIRECTLY to the sign up with NO paid subscription crap whatsoever.  People have been signing up for FREE for two days now.

So, they did not MAKE anyone pay for this.  Nobody should feel like they were scammed or jipped by Blizzard or Fileplanet.  Nobody should feel like Blizzard owes them a good 7 days in this testing period because they paid for it.  It's going to be 7 days of lagfest.  Anyone who didn't realize any of the above....simply failed to read the information that was provided.

I hardly think this game needs more hype and if it did, they wouldn't do it this way. 1. It's a stress test, not open beta. 2. Beta does not mean "Hey, this game is done and we just want to tease a bunch of people!! Come join the fun!". It means "We've got a lot of bugs to work out and tweaking to do, come beat the snot out of the game and tell us all the stuff that you break so we can fix it."

If you spent as much time reading the FAQ or checking various community boards as you did going through FP's contrived site, you would have found out what the test was about as well as how to sign up without getting bilked by FP.

Well said. I can't agree more with that one.
