Think Open Beta will start soon after Stress Test?

Well, Stress Test should start before too long, and it runs for a week. Once it's done, there will be about 2 months left before the release date of November 15th (or somewhere close to that date). Open betas usually last about a month or two, so I imagine they would have to start it pretty soon after the Stress Test. At least....I hope they'll start it soon...

When you mean soon after the stress test as in a month after, then yes you are correct.
What Blizzard/filplanet should have done is this: Made people pay 15 bucks, they get the stress test AND get to keep on playing until open beta. They would have made SO much more money... All my friends including myself would have paid. But atleast we get 7 days of free fun and lag and disconnects.

Wanna know what I think? Probably not, but here it goes. I think open is close because games usually work on stuff like servers last...and that's what the stress test is for.

I hope that I might soon but I am kind of doubting that it will start in September or probably even in October. From what I've heard they still have a lot of content to add such higher level areas and items, talents for the remaining classes, and the bugs they still have floating around. Usually when a game reaches open beta all the content is in place and all that is left is a little bug-squashing and the testing of server stability. In some ways it would make sense that it might come out soon but I kind of doubt it.

Well considering that not all talents are in game and they havent balanced the classes to a certain point and are still polishing low lvl and end game content I dont think Open beta is around the corner just yet....
If anything it will probabaly be late oct early nov... maybe even later. But open beta probabaly wont last very long im guessing cuz they are doing this stress test so probabaly 1-2 weeks of open beta then right into retail is my guess.
If I know the world right you shouldn´t go thinking the game will be released a perticular date. Be ready for anything.. or you´ll just be disapointed. I would say open beta will come 15 october at the earliest and next year sometime at the latest...

blizzard is a great company, but they still are a company. they know they will lose serious sales if they dont release this game b4 christmas. let's face it most ppl that play mmo's are teens and look to their parents to buy them games. not all, but most. this game is so well done in it's current state ppl wouldnt notice that the game wasnt done if it were released next month.
with that in mind, we can expect open beta no later than mid november. that will give them 3-4 weeks b4 release.
i'll eat my shoe if this game doesnt hit the shelves at least 2 weeks b4 christmas.

There are still a few small bugs that need to be fixed and once Blizzard gets rid of the bugs "Open Beta" should start. Right now they are testing the servers to get a good Open beta and get people on Blizzards side.
Has Blizzard actually said that European and US versions will release at the same time? The ONLY difference between the 2 versions is localization - they are *not* going to beta test the entire game twice over. So really, the status of the European beta is irrelevant, and is not likely to affect the US release date too much one way or the other.

All other Blizzard games have been worldwide release, so yeah I expect them to be released at same time. Perhaps you are right on the Euro beta aint gonna change anything, but 4 eyes are better than 2, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I hope its out soon either way!
I'm thinking that Open beta could start as soon as October, possibly December. After playing the Stress Test I think they could probably implement all the talents and the rest of the content they would need and want for the open beta. I'm sure over September and november they could get talents and pvp reward systems in and fine tuned with out any problems.

Do I wish open beta was closer? Yea
Will it be within the next few weeks? No
I don't think it will be months though either.
They intend to release the game mid/end november, but prolly will be late.
In all honesty I'd say shoot for november open beta with a late december release.

EB gave this game a Nov 16 release date. Thus you can expect retail sometime in March.
