Grindohan Online

I did test this game up to lvl 20 and have to say why people even bother to play such a game. The grind starts already with lvl 18 around and when you think about that the endgame is around lvl 99...it takes ages to get there.

I dont see any new special content, they have simple dungeons, low quality quests and not many of it often.

Lots of the builds which are capable for pvp just plain suck in pve, which means that you even suffer more from the slow xp rate if you are focused on pvp.

Iam really disappointed about this game, even requiem had less grind than this game and perfectworld had more pvp elements.

I cant recommand this game for quality pvpers, its a waste of our limited time and you will spent more time on killing mobs than pvp for a very long time.

When I saw Game Guard I uninstalled the game and spent the day cleaning that crap out of my computer . Why any company would use that garbage is beyond my comprehension , I`m playing around over at Twelve Sky now , so far so good .

I'm going to guess you're one of those sad depraved people who play on private servers, that have the exp boost. Because Rohan is in no way bad at grinding. It is MUCH better than most games out there. Seriously.

Have you ever played WoW? Lineage? Final Fantasy XI? Now those are grinding games. Rohan is not even CLOSE to Final Fantasy XI grinding.

Yes, you will have to grind a bit to get to the next level. Every single game is like that. There are some that make it look pretty, and some that don't. Rohan is between those.

If you have friends, or a guild? It makes grinding easier. Oh right, you also have to not suck at your class. Which I'm taking it, you did. The stats? Are so easy to use.

PvE and PvP stats? How would you even know? You were only level 20 you said. PvP starts at level 30. Starts there, and doesn't end. It's a PvP game. If you don't like it, then don't play.

Oh, and a GOOD note for those that want to play. The classes are balanced. Archers can kite, unlike other games out there. So unless you know what you're talking about - shut up.

Yeah this game is a total grind fest with HUGE maps (which mean a lot of running) and a TON of different mobs.

Sounds good, right?  nope.  It's a very dull game because there are like what?  5 skills or less.  I am not talking about character skills. I mean you can grind all day to level from 18-19, you can fish and you can refine.  OH 3 skills.

If this is how the game will go, this game will have a million level 12-30's, a few 50's a rare 70 and very few people buying item mall items.  12 months from now most of the customer base will be bored to tears.

I dont know what mmorpgs are you playing, but  in the good ones it doesnt take months or even more than a  year to get to the endgame aka lineage2 (in fact this here is a low tech lineage2 clone), 2moon, perfectworld and the whole ingame asia shop mmo shit out there. Most blockbuster mmorpgs offer more content than this game, i dont tell anyone to not play this game but i dont recommand it if you are an casual gamer who are looknig for quality mmos and not grind competition, except you like this. And yes i dont like the game and i dont play it, maybe you should read my postings better. Did you ever play WoW, Shadowbane, EQ2, EveOnline, DaoC or similar games...dont compare those with grinders like FinalFantasy or RFOnline stuff aswell cash shop grind games. To say WoW is a grinder is redicioulos.

Again i dont want to bash this game, but i write about my expirience ingame. I respect people who like this game and wish them much fun, so i guess there is nothing more to add - cya

I uninstalled Rohan a couple days ago when I realised my M.Kill counter was at 100 and I was still only getting around 1% exp per mob that was at or around my level.

Rohan is a pure grinder. Basically, the entire game is killing thousands of the most exp efficient enemies to level to do the same. There's PvP but it's just a PK gank fest. Whoo freakin' hoo.

You started feeling it at lvl 18? wow you must sucks at mmorpgs seriously... i started playing today and im already lvl 12, and i have just played like 4-5 hours

ur kidding right, ur comparing a new game with a game that has already been open for more than 2 years.

any way ur lvl 20, first of all how can u rate the pvp system and dungens if u havent even tried it.

plus the good quests start from lvl 24, they give more crones, and good things

i still dont know about how much EXP a quest yet.

if u rly want to know whts most grinding game is then go to rappelz

first get to lvl 50+ and wait a while until new things added to the game then rate it

and as for the m.kill. thts just an extra, its just an extra help in lvling, lets say u got a quest that u have to collect things from monsters and it took a long time. the m.kill is just a replacement for the lost time.

I have the hope they will change exp rates however,  there is a massive change exp request sign in the forums.

It does not take any leveling to just look at the exp chart and realize it takes 10k mobs to lvl at 50, and 50k mobs to lvl at 70, and 100k+ mobs in the 90s.

It is a grindy game, you are damn naive if you dispute that fact.

My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.

k then u say it a grinding game how about this.

if ur  lvl 20 all it takes to lvl is 3 quests that r above u by 1 lvl. maybe it will take more time to lvl with quests same lvl as u.

I still dont know how u figure is a grindy game. i know from lvl 8-24 u will grind mostly and from lvl 24-30 mostly quests for crones. lvl 30+ u will be in a guild. if ur guild is active u will have alot of fun espicialy in guild Vs guild. and u will mostly do quests for crones

It is a grinder, everyone admits it.  No need to sugar coat it.  It is a korean made mmorpg that follows the stereotypical rules - grind grind grind.  Sure it throws in quests every even level, which past 30 give ~4% each, and you only get a few of them every other level.

If it takes 10k mobs to lvl at 50, then it is a bad grinder.  Then it shoots up to 50k mobs for 1 level at 70....

Saying it is anything but a grinder is just misinformation.  They even made the english version MORE grindy than the japanese version to push the cash shop use.  Not to mention the vastly overpriced cash shop - $180 a month if you want to play with exp scroll and mkill scroll running everyday.  Yes $180 a month.

to tell the truth, i looked into the game from lvling 1-50. i dont know anything after 50

but im sure there is no way it wold be tht much grinding 50+

maybe it will be hard lvling after 50 until they put more lvls. cus if its easy then there is no bother playing an easy game. but 10k thts too much, thats too much cus a friend of mine lvled from lvl 58 to 60 in 5-6 hours. if it was 10k kills it would take more rime for him to lvl.

Played this game just for a few days, recommended to me by a friend, but it seems some very bad things are going on with this game.

First there are many major bugs in game and it seems that every updated produces new ones. Second the forum is full of topics about low experience, bots and hackers, many with ss prof, and the game staff doesn't bother to reply to them (think very few GM are in this game and mostly do nothing visible).

Also game has rather bad graphics, armor and weapons made nice from the artwork point of view, but a lot of black pixels float around. Looks to me like amateur work, but done by people with a lot of imagination. But i gotta say it does have very nice animations and visual effects.

The gameplay is very slow, takes 4-5 seconds sometimes to activate a skill while in combat (e.g. Health Funnel from dekan class or M barrier from the Elf) sometimes gets the character stuck, unable to attack for several seconds (and it's not lag everything else goes about normal). Also you get locked into combat, hard to escape, so it's like a kamikaze style combat and classes seem unbalanced skill wise. Haven't tried pvp but slowness of skills in pve was enough.

Also you will spend a lot of time walking in this game, if you do quests, only way to gain levels at a decent rate, you'll spend half the time walking between location and also die a lot, as when you get 2-3 mobs of the same lvl as you attacking you any slowness in skills means your dead and waste next 5 minutes getting back to were you were.

Another thing to add the game is 2d. You can't jump, fly or swim and also you must walk on designated places, it's so easy to get stuck on a hill. The game is very bad from this point of view. Point and click with a bad movement system, also mobs  skip walking to you when a obstacle in front of them. Game looks very static from this point of view, if your used to the dynamics of games like Perfect World this will leave a sour taste in your mouth.

Also I got to say something about the community, it's awful, full of ks-ers and many retards that only play to make other people life miserable. Like high levels standing at spots were low levels much kill mobs for quests and killing all that spawn.

Played to little to say of it's hard with grinding, but on my healer lvl 28 struggled 4 hours of grinding to get the 30% needed for next lvl and quests, as soon as i found a decent spot to kill mobs at 3-4 "quiet" people came and started ks.

Also tried one of the dungeon and it's seems awful. Only a few meters at the starts you can rest the rest mobs randomly respawn at almost every place, if your used to the usual dp them be prepared for a mayhem and be prepared to die everytime a party passes near you  and you lagged 2-3 seconds (time for 4 mobs to  re-spawn on  you and kill  your entire party). Also if you die your party gets somehow reseted, anyway a bug, but don't expect it to be fixed (almost all asian MMORPGs fix bugs very late or never). Maybe there are instanced dungeons further in game, but so far it looks that only uses the old and outdated system of shared dungeon, with all it's cons.

Coming to this game after I last played Perfect World (on private server, as my-en is dead and had 500ms ping for me and 2-3 seconds lag spikes) I gotta say this game looks really bad, you can only grind, fish (random way to gain some items, not fun at all), pvp (can;t say how good, but don;t expect anything good) or a gvg event. No crafting (just a very randomized system of combining items), not fun weekly or daily events and like in any game at the begining a lot of retards, but they will be gone after a few months.

2/10 for now and maybe reach 5/10 if bugs and other other fixable issues are taken care of. Not a game i would recommend if your looking to have fun in, at least not now. Was looking forward to it, but I'm very dissapointed so far.

Ever notice how the exp % goes to 4 decimal places? Things were slow in the mid 30's, I cant imagine what it would be like geting .0001% xp a kill later on.

  • crunchyblackcrunchyblack Member Posts: 1,362

grinders like this always have a huge botting problem. i know my short time in rohan was more or less a battle for mobs with other players. i assume they are bots because the never responded to anything, just sat in thir spot ksing.

guild wars will be composed of uber good pvp guilds who bot and normal players who cant compete. and someone tell me what the purpose of guild battles is? seems that they left out of this game much else to do other than grind your ass off.

oh so this game offers...insane amounts of grinding....unbalanced pvp where the benefit will go to those who bot and spend the most in cash shop...and...fishing.......you have got to be kidding me....how does a game like this get fanbois to begin with?

when are they gonna stop making these kinds of games, they are nothing but decent graphics with shallow gameplay and nothing to really do other than grind for a tiny amount of xp and the chance to find a rare drop...so boring after such a short time.
