Will the missions be uptained by a mission terminal like Star wars galaxie, so there wil be infinite missions, or will it be like AoC, tabula rasa like, where there will be a specific number of missions for each pplayer??

Afaik, it's gonna follow the old AoC,TabulaRasa,WoW,EQ2,Daoc, Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. type of missions.
Nobody even tries to change this scheme anymore.

Hermann: Not quite. *smiles* We’re actually looking at different ways to give players missions. Obviously there will be missions you get and complete on stations; but the standard, click on guy, get mission, return to guy doesn’t have to be the only solution, now does it? Something I have always liked was the System Shock method of missions where they would just kind of push to you while you were playing the game – it’s a much more immersive solution I think.

While we have some missions that are pre-written to help move the story for the player the majority of the missions are dynamic based on where you are, your level, your faction ratings, etc. The idea, is based on your actions the game will continue to drive new small stories for your pilot.
The high level goal is for you to be able to tell your story instead of playing through ours.
Much better than:
Find X NPC
Kill n amount of enemies
Return to X NPC
Receive reward.
Rinse n repeat
To me it still sounds like they intend to provide the usual bloody clone of the wow system.
I would really love a "dynamic mission generator", I don't wanna see no NPC with their exclamation mark.
If they eliminate the pick quests, collect, return, i AM gonna buy the game. If the system's still there I won't think about it a second

the thing is.. that i have grown pretty tired with the mmo´s being like a normal pc game, with the only difference being that u have to wait ur turn, in slaying the quest mob, and once in a while stomple across a group.
this is what in my opinion often happens when u have a story to follow. i for one thinks that the non mmo´s for the most part have much better storys, and i wanna pplay mmo´s because i make my own, by joining guilds make my own money, and finding friends, and ofcourse make a name for myself by constantly being killed in good pvp.
sometimes i think that the devs. is trying to put to much in to the mmo´s in order to capture as many players as possible, instead of trying to make a game that suits a speciel kind of gamer, and therefore get a game that can last a long time.
no end game no end....
