    The fight scene between Hector and Achiles in the movie Troy was pretty bad ass in an over the top sort of way...the swager that Brad Pitt had when he was fighting Hector was amusing and made the scene all the more bad ass.

    Darth Maul versus Obi Wan and Qui Gon was also amazing...and let's not forget the best fight scene ever

    yup.,..I remember the Dath Maul versus Obi Wan.  My only thinking is...Obi Wan got progressively worse in combat techniques as seen in A New Hope (two old people fighting to the death lol)

    I know that a lot of purists think that the origional fight scenes were better because they weren't completely over the top and full of flourish moves, but the fight scenes in the prequels were just so much cooler...that fight between Vader and Obi Wan in episode 4 was pretty much pathetic in comparison in my opinion.

    yeha i have to agree. The original series wer enot better in terms of lightsaber combat.

    Fist of the White Lotus(Clan of the White Lotus) has a couple of good vs sword fight scenes.

    Enemy at the Gates, the initial part of the movie from the time the train pulls in across the river from Stalingrad until the time he snipes the German officer in the shower...every time I see it I am still overwhelmed.

    I especially like the part when they board the boats to cross the Volga and the German aircraft attack.

    I forgot to mention the final fight scene in the movie "The Protector" where that little asian dude goes bat shit crazy on like 100 guys, breaking all of their limbs...Then Nathan Jones throws a baby elephant across the room and it goes into a whole new world full of awesome.
