I'm from Belgium and i like to play the beta stress test but they say its only for north America

Can someone help me about this plz ::::17::

No. Thats is impossible. Unless u can hack. Somthing i cant. Sorry but i can not help you with this. And i have the same problem. WHY US first?!?! always. Argh why not the same time!!!!

Its actually very easy to do, 5 members of my guild are europeans and we have all signed up, downloaded the client and received our keys, we are just waiting for the stress test to start now.

I will give you a a clue how to do it, it begins with "P" and ends with "roxy"

It recognises that your IP address is a european one, which is why you get blocked. What a proxy does is masks your IP address so that it appears to come from somewhere else, or simply so that it cannot tell where the IP is from.

ah thx for the tip but i cant to that since im on a router(hub that donsent show IP) with my parents home. If i do that they will go mad if they find out. But a BIG thx for the tips

I am from the U.S. and it might be an insult posting here, but can you help me out and tell me where to DL the client? Or does it give you a link when ever you receive the key?

Why you wanna play stress test anyway. It lack like hell and you only get to play for a couple of days. It could ruin your inpression of the game.

ummmm, no. Blizzard hasn't even started their european beta test yet due to legal rules and buisness strategy, so why are you getting all in a tizzy over not being able to play for a week with insane lag? they're not racist, and I'm not even sure that "european' is a race.

It is designed to be for North Americans only due to the time zones and a language barrier.

It wont do Blizzard any good if you are on at a different time than the majority of the testers, or if you are not familiar with the English.

So, they are not racist you are just being foolish.

I have to say a lot of europeans speak English so that isn't a valid reason to deny people access to the test, especially as I am English and guess what I speak English.

The excuse that we don't play when the americans play is also rubbish. The time difference is only four or five hours. I am very often playing games at what you call peak times.

Sorry this is not meant as a flame but it bakes my cookie that we cannot get access.

WoW Stress test FAQ
Why is this stress test only for North America? Due to multiple time zone and language differences, we have decided to limit the stress test participants to the United States and Canada.

because the point of a beta is to TEST the software, not demo the game to you and they surely arent going to explore oversea's possibility's until they atleast know the game is solid enough for the country it was created in. That means more software work for the languages, more staff, and alot more expenses. it was MADE in the US, I don't see it as horribly criminal to want to beta it ONLY in the US first.

Nothing like trying to beta a game and getting bug reports in choppy english from everywhere else. And before anyone tries to say anything to that, YES I know some can speak english probably better then me but once you open the door you have to open it for ALL.

Ok, first off, when I read your first post the first time I didn´t take it as a joke, but when I read it now I can see how it´s a joke... for an american. We are always so f****** late with those things and it´s irretating. And that last part about whiny whatever... bah, wouldn´t trade my european a**, for an american one EVER!

Using a proxy isn't hacking.

I hope you Europeans enjoy the extra lag and other fun problems. Blizzard isn't excluding you just to be mean, they're doing it because they're not ready for you.

The thing I'm most curious about is why anyone gives a damn if they got in a 7 DAY LONG STRESS TEST.

TEST in case you missed it the first time. It has nothing to do with NA vs Euro, or anything. I'd guess something like 99% of those that signed up did so not because they care if the servers are laggy or no, but because they wanted to play WoW, and saw their Golden Goose so to speak...

Well, it's not a free invite to try it before you buy it or something. It's not a damned demo. Those 100k people are there to test the servers, and the network code under heavy load conditions so they can improve the performance.

People love to complain about the buggy launches of these games. Part of the reason so many of them are so bad is that 95% of the beta testers don't ever file a single bug report. They're there simply to play the game for free. Meanwhile, people that actually want to, you know, test the game can't.

Yes, it's sad that some (maybe alot?) ppl. who downloaded the stress test actually think they're going "to play", but that's just how things are. When they start bitching about the stress test lagging or whatever, we can just laugh and call them stupid.

I agree with you coldmeat and CIM_LW. You make a REALY good point there. I played AO for a loong time and , after 2 years it had LOADS of bugs becuase 70% of the playes didn't report bugs, and that maked the 70% WHINE about all sort of stuff. The ppl that helped players got LOADS of petitions(qestions, and stuff that diden't work, whining +++). As for myself i played Soldier and helped the staff fix some key bugs. 1 more thing. That 70% of the players are low lvl and plays maybe every other day, and was whining over the same bugs many times. and more whining .ect is makes the staff more buisy of helping players, than fixing the game. So i blizzard will reward players that is helping them give bugs and helping them fix them, would be wery good. Becuase then you get to fix 100++ bugs in a patch rather than 10 bugs a patch.
