Hey guys, I'm just trying to decide if on I want to play AoC or wait until Warhammer comes out. I've been looking into them and AoC looks cool but it doesn't seem like it has the effect of a fast paced game to me. I'm really into PvP and I haven't hear much about PvP in AoC or if it's good or not but all I hear about in Warhammer is the PvP. Correct me if I'm wrong about things and tell me your opinions on these 2 and comparisons to them.

I didnt vote
but I think its unfair to compare a released game vs unreleased game
the unreleased game almost always "promises" to be better

Guarantee a bunch of people playing AOC have already started their wait for warhammer.
Especially PvP'ers.
Thats very true =/.
make this poll again when WAR has actually launched.
Maybe even insert WotLK as well?
I have this feeling half of those "the wotlk will be like so i won't buy it" and end up buying it anyway.... The reason, WoW is forgiving, even if you have spouted bad things about it, you can come back silently and play it.
*laughs*
P.S. combat wise, AoC is pretty much fast paced. But really you'll probably have to buy it to see for yourself, you either love it or hate it. It's a niché game.

I am in WAR Beta.
AoC all the way, no chance in hell they can make more interesting system than AoC.
I am in WAR Beta.
In some ways, WAR is more interesting than AOC.
Both games have their merits.

For me it's more about the game mechanics than the actual content which is the actual reasoning I used.
You are correct in that WAR has some interesting aspects.
There seems to be a lot of jaded MMORPG players who really have unrealistic expectations. I am pretty jaded myself.
Having played in betas and witnessed many MMO launches in the past, and now having seen Warhammer in beta albeit not participating in it myself, I can safely say there will be lots of whining in the forums when that game is launched. If you are thinking there won't be, you are deluding yourself.
I am not planning to play it myself. Few hours in beta made that decision quite clear for me. It might be a good game for some people, but I am personally looking for some other genre than high fantasy and while RvR might be compelling as a concept, I do not think the direction they have taken combat itself is compelling enough in that game to keep PvPers interested in it for long.
Note! I am not saying WAR will fail or be total disaster, just that many people seem to have totally unrealistic expectations for it.

Well consider this:
Do you want to play RvR ~ where you help out your entire realm in everything you do!
or
Do you want to play PvP ~ same boring-only-fighting-for-yourself once again system!
Well, I'm selfish and greedy so i'l say pvp thanks.
OP It really comes down to what your looking for in a game.
If your looking for PvE raids, player cities, hardcore pvp, xbox360 designed world, heavy guild only focus, a semi unique combat system, explicit content, & high end graphics you'll probably love Age of Conan.
If your looking for constant warfare in the form of PvE &/or PvP, no Pve raid focus, leveling through only PvP or pve or both, constant Keep Sieging, the chance to take over a faction city, being a part of a server wide community instead of just guild focus, guild levels, renown rank levels, less graphical focus, a multiple ways to customize your character's usability in battle, etc etc you'll like WAR.
Both games appeal to similiar & very very different types of players. Its time finally there's some variety to choose from.

If the WH Beta is any example, PVP is extremely fun. As I am normally a PVE player, I have spent the past hour PVPing. I also am in AoC and I can tell you Conan's gameplay doesn't hold a candle to WH
Waiting for the next thing
We have to wait and see how there R/R plays out before we can judge.
Iam currently fighting for my guild, we have another guild intrudeing on our area building a keep close to ours, running around digging up resources. This cant be tolerated...
Put Aion in the poll!
Dont ya like FFA?
I would say wait for warhammer since AoC is clearly a waist of money. Hopefully WAR won't be nearly the same let down. Though i am a little to worried at how much it is looking like WoW currently.
I like faction vs faction pvp, so its War for me (if its good ofc and doesnt have heavy instancing)
AOC is an example for everyone MMO player that dont let those video, graphic to allure you. So dont be disappoint if Warhammer is not WOW killer.
I didn't vote either..
