How is WWII online doing nowadays?

Ive been there, played for a couple of months and then i quitted... some 3 or 4 years ago...

Those times that i was there, i fond the game cool but... maybe due to lack of people when i play (timezone, im in asia) and due to some long hours waititng for action... i inlisted on the alliance "40 commandos", they helped me a lot enjoying the game, but still i had some days that after spending 2 hours in the field, no fire were shot, just walking in a danger zone but felt like being alone in the front line against probably a lot of enemies... didnt see them, just hide for not getting shot and then... dead. lol.

i wish i could be convinced on returning to the game, i loved the idea and still looking forward to rejoin, just want to make sure if there´s a lot of people playing it. The community were perfect, a lot of chat infield, feel like going to camping with lot of guys... but still lack of action...

wont make any difference for me to try the free trial... i know it would have a lot of free lancers, the worse is after the trial expires it all might go to the boring state.

    please advice.

edit: oh... ill just give it a try on trial... :)

I agree.. It was , for me, lonely in many places of the world or the action was just too far.  I loved the idea.. But was sometimes confusing.. I may give it another whirl simply bcause its a free trial at this point..

Was probably my best expirience with mmos from all the major mmos i played, played over 3 years and stopped almost two years ago, was exausted and changed to other games lol. If you are into real interesting battles, lots of teamplay, if you like that your "work" means something i.e. to conquer the map or parts of it, than you should try it. I got so much adrenalin shocks in not any mmo out there. I played also Planetside, but after you did conquer bases some hours later it did start from the beginning. Yeah this game is really for some who like more realism and especially more game depth to achieve something.

But you need to join a squad, otherwise you are lost in this game..join a squad and i promis you that you will have a great time. The game is already 7 years old but there is still not competition for such a genre, a pure pvp mmo/wars 24/7. I wished there would be similar games with so much depth, maybe starwars would fit here - that would be so awesome.

Dont be afraid about the graphics, ingame you can see over 6 miles ...thats really a lot and the battles and simulatione i.e. tank driving and hunt the opponent is so exciting you forget often about graphics.

Definately join a squad (guild) as soon as possible, already in your trial time if possible and you will have a blast probably if you are into war mmos. The game needs a lot of practice, so its not like most mmos out there which are easy mode more or less in pvp. It just did give me adrenalin kicks, to get into a good position with your german tiger tank and wait for the enemies, patience is important in this game cause mistakes are always deadly.

This game delivers FEAR to die ! Every unit you spawn into the battlefield means something and is important. (some did ask for mmos where you need fear to die hehe)

I haven't heard much about this game, but it does sound interesting and worth checking out.

How does it play as a MMORPG?  What is the game about, and what is it like?  I shall check out the WWII forum, but I'd like to hear your opinions as well.  At the moment, I am trying to play loads of MMO's at the same time, and really I should be stream-lining my games, not adding more, but the idea of a World War II MMO is a brilliant one, and I am curious to see how it is played.

Is just a asain-style grindfest but with a different skin?  As I say, I haven't heard much about it, so don't know what it is like.

I'll try it, but the "no credit card" information is incorrect. Per the website, it says this:

    TITLE STARTS ENDS RUNNING
    1. Battleground Europe 14-Day Free Trial (K) Mar 01, 2006 Jan 01, 2009 Yes
Download the game and play Battleground Europe for 14 days during this all-access free trial.

    · Free trial available to new players only.

    · Credit card required to create free trial account.

    · $19.99USD activation key (with 30 days additional playtime included) billed at the end of free trial unless cancelled.

so, your credit card is required, you will be billed unless you cancel the trial. Unless there's another link? I didn't see it

your arguement is so persuasive, so filled with knowledge and insight. You back up your argument very articulately, with suggestions of improvements and raising examples to glorify your position....oh wait, you didn't
