The greatest Non-instance MMO! Knight Online!!! (imo anyway :D)

Knight Online is  my first MMO and its also the most fun. why? Because i remember when im just a newbie, 1 of my high level friend bring me around to have a tour of the whole non-instance world. And what a big world it is!

Seeing all the creatures avaliable, seeing  tons of others players grouping and killing mobs...

And the most exciting ive felt is when she bring me to see the most powerful creature in KO! ! The gigantic Centaurs with lighting in their hands! And the other is a big Brid thing, think the name starts with "M". Also we pass by many high levels kiling the prophets.

And she told me: " Arc, the day will come when we will be killing  them..."          Woot!!!!

That's the reason i love a non-instances world. Though im low level yet i can see all the mobs in this world!! Being able to visualize the future and having the goal of 1 day being able to stand toe to toe (well in a group at least) with them...

Now with all the instances thing, in a sense its good that no one  will fight the same group of mobs with you.... but to me it lacks the motivation and goal for a game, either than exploring.

im really bored now......

Anyone placing no instancing over fun gameplay is not looking for a game in a virtual world.  They are looking for a virtual world (giant 3d chat room) with some game.

Just go to second life already.

That wasn’t at you arctarus, just all the instance haters out there.

The few days i played KO, i gave up, deciding never to go back, ever.

I found about 8-10 real players, and about 25-35 bots. It was pathetic.

Besides, i thought hte engine was crap, too many flaws -.-

    <Mod edit>

Um, I played Knight Online for a week or so, the gameplay was decent, graphics were meh, but, it's community was in a state of decadence. Knight online is walking the path to it's death. 40% Of the player's were botters. The community was 90% Turkish, I found none of them knew english, if they did, it was too ambigious to comprehend. It is definitely not the best MMO, how many MMO's have you played? I've played over 90 and this MMO is one of the worst.

I'm twelve by the way Jirel

Erm.. Im 22 years old? blame Tiger for my poor grammar  ...

KO now is really in the state decline, even though they try to bring out a Aussie time base server (paragon), but the damage have been done when they release K2.

But personally not only does too much instances break immersion, but  it really defeat the purpose of MMO. Looking at players from WoW keep complaining about the fact that they cant see the same content of end game instances and asking for solo instance, like EQ2? many of them, me included, feel that its just not fare.

Im not going after loot, but just able to see everything for the lore, and the completion of the quest.  Seeing content only make available for players that have tons of ample time makes me sad....

Hmmm... wait... you are saying instances defeat the purpose of MMOs, yet, you think all instances should go back to the world, so you can solo them...?

Sorry, what i mean is that im able to see the mobs without me needing a bunch of players just to work 4 hours to see the final boss...

Non instancing is very important, required to be a true MMOG.

No RMT allowed is very important, earning your way is required to be a true MMOG.

Knight Online uses item shop revenue system, aka RMT, thus epic fail.
