Regrets..

In several threads I mentioned how my wife was due with our first baby in the beginning of September and with EQ2 being pushed back it gave me time to break her in to leave me alone while I played.

 

I regret saying this.  Last Friday our little girl was born 3 weeks early and we were dumb-founded to learn that she had an extremely rare heart defect known as Ebstein's Anomoly.  The doctor's explained that heart defects occur in about 3% of all child births and only 1% of those could possibly have Ebstein's Anomoly.  She's currently stable and her vital signs look great.  They are currently waiting for the PDA to close to determine if they need to transfer her to a hospital in Charleston, SC for surgery.

 

Anyway, I just want to say I recind anything I said about not spending time with my little girl because that's about all I want to do right now.

 


Fact: In the United States, 4% of all children are born with a heart defect.
Fact: Only 1% of those has Ebstein's Anomaly.
Fact: My daughter is in that 1%.

    Thanks all for your comments and web site.  I've sent in my application for that organization.

     

    We're headed to Charleston,SC next week at some point for surgery.  They are currently waiting for Hurricane Frances to pass before transferring her.

     

    Keep your fingers crossed.
