Many things in Aoc need to be fixed, we all know that. So tell me about your mmo, did evrything work 100% at release? I doubt it. Don't like this game fine but it's funny to see howmany lowlifes here have nothing else to do then hang around a forum of a game they don't like. Is the game you are playing so boring?
Is your game equally as boring that you hang around here?
------------------------------------------------------------------------ I hear a crunching cracking sound, the breaking of your bones
Hehe nice counter. Anyway I bought some other mmo's at release that bored the shit out of me and you know what? I uninstalled them. No reason to hang around the forum of said games bashing them constantly. That is what makes the constant bashers look quite sad in my opinion.
Ohhh yeah grats on making a city *sarcasm*.... My guild made a full T1 city with all the walls over a week ago and yeah, it's all broken and useless. There's no buffs or point to any of the buildings. It's just a humongous gold sink which is in reality will take guilds months before they get to sieges. And funcom made it that way, because they did ZERO siege testing in beta and the stuff isn't ready.
you have no basis of proof regarding these comments. come back when you do

You have some basis of proof that is was tested ?
I was a beta tester and all I can tell you I did the torage area like 30 times with new characters after they wiped our older ones regularly. THere was no siege testing - there was not even mount fighting fully tested. 2 weeks before release the devs asked the beta testers for ideas about mounted combat since it wasn't implemented and they were looking for ideas. You wonder why mounts are outpriced from the game at lvl 40 ? I can tell you why .. Because then it takes most ppl longer to realise how many bugs they have.

Actually its true, Funcom did not test Sieges prior to the launch. I am not sure what kind of proof you need/want.

maybe not, but if youve read the "1000 things to fix" thread on the aoc boards.. maybe, just maybe you would ask yourself "what exactly did they fix?"
i know a friend who tested, and they were screaming for fixes right until the end
there are class breaking bugs still in the game that was known 4 months ago
if you add the funcom support. or lack thereof, and the PR hype they created around the game
its no wonder many many people feel ripped off, or worse
also, at the end of it all, it just adds to the fire that the game isnt even complete
theres nothing to do at level 80, that is, if you get there at all (to get to level 80 you have to choose one of the working classes, play it, and hope you never get stuck with a gamebreaking bug, such as 'unable to log in')
and dont give me the "there are dungeons"... there are, but theyre so badly bugged that worse case fix is to create another toon, as petitioning for a little help does not
do i sound negative? give me 1 good reason not to
its not about cancelling or leaving forever, its about how long will you wait
personally, im going to be playing something else, of course..
i dont think any of us are haters, considering you sometimes have to vent a little
(and there seems to be alot of venting on the aoc boards :P )
but naysayers? maybe.. i dont really give a crap.. i think most people can decide for themselves
thing is, many feel this was a waste of their money.. in the end, youll just have to try it and consider yourself warned

"will be implemented ...means when they release the content" I wish everything came to me faster too.
well said true warrior!!! And I haven't even played it yet ! You got to realize, I truly believe there are paid employees of other games whose jobs are to post negative opinions on any new games in an attempt to divert the attention of the masses away from potential great games **cough cough WoW ack did I say that .....oh I'm sorry *cough *choke **plop!*
Game keeps getting better every week (due to patches and) less than 1 month old. Yet, non-players/trolls try and bash more from other old source news. I don't get why anyone would spend the wasted time to pass bogus info..just to try and prevent someone else they don't know from potentially trying/liking the game.
Name ONE thing about Guild cities that is working. Other than the fact that you can build a pointless structure that cost a tone of coin.
Fact is that it is possibly the MAIN selling point of this game and it does not even work AT ALL.
let me make this pretty for your standards...
If you are going to use that philosophy, then what Is the point of playing games? Why spend all your time when in the end, it is just a waste of time and will not help you what so ever.
This really needs to be addressed. All players in the game are stuck at level five and can NOT level up. We are unable to gain any more of the promised levels and a stuck killing the same low level monster and NPC's untill this is fixed. We would actuall like to feel like we are making some progress in the game through the mean that we were told we would have, I E gaining powers and abilities that enhance our characters.

"Check out our guild city, it's in Purple Lotus Swamp, Instance 5!"
Having a guild keep in an instance = fail.
noooooob. on one server there maybe 300 guilds, making unqiue spots for 500 guildhalls is so inpracticle that I laugh at you. there ARe non instanced keeps, 9 per server (pracitcal number!). but because there are only 9 and many guilds you will have to fight over them!!! hence they are called battle keeps.

You know I actually dont mind the instance guild city thing. The only thing I dont like about it is the only people who can come visit our guild city are our guild members and the other to guilds in the instances guild members. No one else can even come to our instance (unless they are grouped with some one who is in one of the guilds)
Because this is how it works. Our guild city is in instance #8. You can not change instances or pick an instance when entering the build/harvest zone. So if you dont pick "go to guild city" and go to your own instance, you are placed into the next instance that is not full. Like if 1-4 were full you would go into 5. We are 8, and there are never 7 full instances.
This is actually good for us and the other two guilds for harvesting at least. Because when we pick "go to guild city" we are placed into the instance and if no one else is there atm then the instance spawns a new. After a little the nodes fill up and you can run around and collect as much of what ever you want.

would be nice if someday you could accidentally invite a thief who could then build a thieves guild under the city and steal from the city heheh. The thief could then employ other thieves to tunnel and some might be stupid enough to dig to the wrong area while others could lay traps. When npc armies begin to show up then the thieves would have to fight for the city since they wouldnt want to lose their cash flow (neutrally aligned). Mabey in order to ransack one particular player made city you would want to bribe a thief or hire a ranger to go retrieve stolen money underground. Once a thief has "been made" they can be given a chance to change their name but lose 1 base constitution point per discovery. Once a guild leader thief has been defeated (perhaps with the help from an informant) they lose guild leader status after being looted (triggered) by that raiding party and are unable to form a guild forever. Their guild would have to disband and their tunnels reset.
Only an epic priest item could restore a thief's loss of base constitution and only a priest may weild it.
Time for me to post MY guild city. Yes mine I amguild leader of Prophet on Bloodspire. Kinda funny if its broken how doihave mywhole city??? If crafting is broken how can i build a city???
How come that you fucked-up moron claim you did that all by YOURSELF?

Laugh all you want, and have fun in your instanced guild city, in your instanced zone in your instanced game world. Oh and btw how is the sieging? I mean, you talk like someone who has experienced the sieging first-hand. Or were you just reading from the manual? LOL I laugh at YOU and all others that talk about things like sieging when it's not even in-game yet.

Wow if everyone who's bitching about AoC is a Blizz employee, that company must be a small nation by now.
Even if I believed that a good % was employees, it still would cover half the posts.

We do. And a great dental plan as well.
Oh crap, I've said too much...
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"

Well (A) because they must be right. If someone actually enjoys a game they have panned its a blow to their ego (B) They have never found a MMO they enjoy and thus they need to make sure no one else is happy either. ie they feed on misery and misery loves company. They will always point to any MMO's short comings compared to some Idealised MMO they have imagined in their head. (C) they have a game they are fans of and fear greatly that any new comer MMO may take players from thier favorite game, thus they must make sure the new MMO fails to protect/defend their own favorite MMO. (D) some would really like to play the game but can't because of the higher comp reqs, thus they hate the very game they wish they could play, and Hate Funcom for it.
This of course is just a quick gloss over of the trolls reasons there are others not listed above or combo's of the above, Some trolls of course don't even really know why they do what they do and instead pretend (delude themselves into believeing ) they are doing it to help the Genre or to save other players.

You are right about the sieges but wrong about the mounts. At least the part where you say that hey were not available long enough.
What I did not witness is mounted PvP of a small or larger scale. Probably because there weren't a ton of things you could do on top of a mount.

Following your logic psiho234234,
2 + 3 = 23
3 + 2 = 32
For your other post, he would probably like some proof. You know what I mean, if you go to college or university they'll ask you for a reference.
