We are back on track and made some contacts regarding potential sources for financing for EnB2, Inc.

We successfully obtained the enb2.com domain name which was previously owned by Edward N. Benson (ENB), owner of Benson Chevron in Ogden, Utah.

Just to clarify what is to be licensed:

The intangible game assets which EnB2, Inc. plans to license from EA INCLUDES all source code, version control history, graphics, animations, database contents, concept storyline, artwork, and narratives, design documentation, product enhancement plans, sequel development efforts, custom development tools, quality assurance tools, test code, test scripts, and reports, server load balancing details, bandwidth utilization details, web content, domain names, and marketing rights.

Items which are specifically EXCLUDED from the license agreement are the existing customer account details, account management software, credit card processing software, and all tangible assets such as server hardware.

Yes, this means a player wipe.

new to mmorpg.com here, but i played earth and beyond for a looong time, was a lvl 150 Jenquai Defender, who had the MOST uber gear :D, I'm currently looking to write my own game, storlyine etc.  This was inspired by Earth and Beyond, if there is ANY way I can help make ENB2 come about, please let me know! I'm not a programmer or arist by any means, but I am a very talented writer, and will help with anything if I am taught how to do it, Earth and Beyond was the best game ever to come out, and I would love to make the second one possible.

I would love to see this happen, but can't believe it will. Especially when I see how EA has been very stubborn in not releasing any of the source code and related info without substantial compensation.

Ever thought about EA not releasing the source code BECAUSE they want to make a sequel?

What if the resourcecode was released, and someone made a game of it what ppl will think is more interesting then paying for an EnB2?
I think it is very real to not release your source-code if you want to make a sequel. I sincerely hope that this rumor is real!

I think there is little chance EA will want to do a sequel....you don't normally shut down a game like they did here in hopes to revive it later.
