So over the past few months I just kind of stopped playing WoW (loved the game and still do). IDK why just kinda stopped and I feel like i deserve to try something new. As of right now I am waiting on WAR to release and see how it turns out but until then I need someting new. Thats where you guys come in.
The main thing I am looking for:
Thats the main thing I am looking for. I mainly can't make up my mind in what game I want to play. Should i just go back to WoW or is there a good PvP game out there?
F2P game preferrably but if there is a P2P game that is nice then let me know.
I also enjoy a PVE aspect like raiding and quests that are actually interesting but thats not as important as the PVP part.
To anyone who helps, thank you!

i can recommend u knight online. u can join there big wars like 200vs200 or 300vs300 or u can just go to colony zones to pk ppl from the opposite nation.
guild wars is a nice pvp game too
Guild Wars has the richest PvP combat. It's fun and involves player skill. But you need to be OK with 8v8 (or 12v12) PvP. It's like e-sports. You can also make a PvP character and experience PvP right away.
If you want warfare, you'll have to go sandbox, ie. with EvE Online, but understand that your character will always be gimped compared to veterans. Also, combat isn't really fast-paced and do not involve a lot of player skill (but warfare does : spying, scouting, ...). In Eve, PvP has meaning.
Your choice.

Waiting for: GW2
*thumbs up*: GW, Eve(, WoW)

I stopped playing WoW as well got bored I guess. I am an older gamer, got hooked on MMO's bout 12 years ago and since then I think I have about played em all. One thing I discovered is that they are all about the same really. I remembered when I first played WoW after playing dozens of mmo's that I was exicited about wow, was thinking that this is gonna be so cool at last something different. But much to my surprise, it seems after about an hour into WoW I found myself thinking, Man, you would think I would feel like a noob here, new game and all. But suddenly I felt like I had already played it, Everything felt so familiar as far as the gameplay and interface went, I instinctivly seemed to know exactly how to play it, there was no learning curve at all, I hadn't really felt like a noob again in a long time cause all these games looked and controled basically all about the same. I remember my first mmo (was Asheron's call 2) I remember feeling completely overwhelmed, I was a complete and total nooblet. Never had I played an online game before, the game would call me in my mind to wake up in the middle of the night to log in, that feeling was so awesome! After bout 2 years I kinda got bored and thought i'd try something else. Was waiting for WoW but the wait was slow so i picked up another title and this pattern went on for awhile but that initial feeling that I had when I started was just never quite as intense until now...............
Last week A new neighbor moved in next to me and I noticed him moving an awesome looking computer into the place I thought i'd ask him what he played. Much to my surprise I discovered he was a lot like me ...he said he played mmo's he'd played em all pretty much but now he only played two! Come to find out those two were EVE Online and Lineage II! Well I had heard of those 2 games but never did really think about playing them much as they were not really mainstream games, they never did really get to great of reviews actually. Well he talked me into trying Lineage II and that 's where my amazement began. The game really blew me away I actually felt like a noob again. Take everything I ever thought I knew about an MMO and throw it out the window!!! Nothing in this game works as you would expect it to. I think I love this game. It is not an easy game but so far I have been having a blast. I feel like an utter and complete nooblet again and that feeling is great. If you are looking for something new and different I would suggest you give it a try. It is also the first game I have ever played where it even makes a big difference what gender you play as male and female characters actually go down a complete different class path. Also I watched him play EvE online and I am dying to play that one as well. The complexity of the two is overwhelming! And Yes There will be PVP in both!!!! Didnt mean to go on like I have ...just making a suggestion that could quite possibly change your whole way of thinking..... . Don't listen to the lame ass reviews of these two games as I really don't know what is wrong with the people who post in these forums anymore but something is def wrong with them for sure!

This was as of last year there is even more now!!!
Lineage 2 and Guild Wars. Those are PvP games! There are so many buffs and skills to use in so many strategies in L2. You can practically kill people with a HEALER! There is no best class, every class can beat another class.
At one time, I think 2 years ago, it was reported that Lineage 2 had over 2 milion active players worldwide. For a game that didn't have as much publicity as WoW, that's something to boast with. (Active on the OFFICIAL servers, not to mention the other 200.000+ players on private servers)
@Wrender: You'll get bored of L2 someday... but not too soon. It's a game much loved and honored by it's players. I think it's beacause of the graphics or something, I don't know... but damn I was so addicted a few years ago.
Yeah there are so many classes to play it is kinda mindboggling, last night I saw a warrior type that could only use cloth armor but his offense was through the roof! Imagine that!
Nice, what weapon was he using, and what race was he?
There are classes in Lineage 2, like nukers, that have very low defence armors but do massive amounts of damadge. And in mass PvP usually healers keep these people alive, tanks stunn and root the enemys and the nukers kill everything. Awsome class concepts, each class is very specialized for different tactics against different opponents. This is why I like Lineage 2 over any other MMORPG. There is always somebody that CAN kill you, if given the right buffs and skills.
I think the Kamael race are the ones that can only wear cloth no matter what class they play !
I know we're kinda deviating here, but I'll tell you a little secret. Kamael are the newest race in L2 and even if they have the lowest CON of all the fighters, their skills are made so they make up for it.
Up until level 32 or so, kamael are pretty good because of their skills, both in PvP and in PvE. After level 40 you begin to see that having light armor and the lowes HP of all the races kinda sucks. By the time you reach level 50 you have probably been allready humiliated even by support classes suck as tanks or bladedancers or even spoilers! The thing about low CON is that it makes you a stunn magnet, and getting stunned in L2 is just as good as beeing dead, for somebody with light armor and low HP.
Go with the shure thing, take one of the old races. For PvP I suggest: Tyrant, Gladiator, Spellsinger, Necromancer, Hawkeye, Treasure Hunter, and generally archers, nukers or daggers. Also tanks (i.e. Paladin, Dark Avenger, Shillen Knight and Temple Knight) are very good in mass PvP, and essential in raids.
Sorry Josh (OP) we didn't mean to hijack your post. It's just sometimes talking about a really cool game gets us so excited we tend to get carried away. Im gonna have to get off here for awhile now and go out for food before I come back and waste away another 20 hrs or so playing L2. Hey SyNn3r, I like your enthusiasm feel free to kick me an e-mail sometimes and we can discuss more perhaps or better yet jump on the game and we can really "hang". Besides I can always use some help out there on Aden. I really need to find a good clan and soon. I'm only lvl 12 but i already got prob the best mystic gear available at my lvl . heh I got lucky!!! I'm thinkin of going down the wizard path instead of the cleric prob be better for the PvP that is to come...right?
