Fun fact #1: AoC is far from perfect, but has had the strongest MMO launch in history.
Fun fact #2: They are now patching the game every 3 days until further notice. QQ.
Fun fact #3: AoC outsold GTAIV in Europe, so a few hundred thousand Euros are telling you to STFU.
Fixed
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
Hahaha clearly the OP doesnt know any of his MMO history. Though AOC has its share of bugs, its no where near Funcom's AO. The worst launch probably goes to Dark And Light. Look that one up. DnL was BAD, real BAD.

It's the first MMO I've tried from launch. So my knowledge isn't big.
I think the launch was alright, but with issues. Which have been fixed now.
I think it's a cool game with a lot of potential

Any new game gets super high ratings for the first month or two, due mainly to hype and excess fanboi activity.
But then reality sets in, and the anti's also start piling in with bad ratings, so even the best of games eventually end up in the 7.8 to 8 range.
Seen this cycle on at least a dozen games - even some of the worst had high ratings for the first couple of days of release.
Not the worst, but mighty close.
Looks like we have a very stable bowel movement here... I think it might be a record! This sucker weighs at least 9.5 courics.
hmm there was more since lotro?
