..after trying Lineage 2  and not liking it ( dark elfs are nice though ).. ive desided I have seven certain expectations for mmorpgs..

these are:

1. WASD movement -- I hate point  and click

2.  jump ability --  I hate feeling stuck to the ground

3. sit ability --   I hate standing all the time

4. scantly clad female outfits --  I want something nice to look at while im playing...

..(( or at least an option to make a thong wearing dwarf carrying two pigs on his shoulders ..and let me use my imaginiation ..))

5. custiomization -- at least so I dont see too many clones of myself running around

6. more then just one race -- human only mmorpgs just dont work for me.

7. swimming ability -- this one is optional..but I mean.. its water SWIM DAMIT!!

..ive already played Anarchy Online ( liked it but too outdated )

Flyff and Turfbattles ( like them but the mass spamming on them ruined it for me.. it might be the same for all Ftp's.. dunno yet )

im playing Cox right now.. its nice but ive played it for 2 years and 10 months.. its time to try something new..

please let me know if you know of any mmorpgs that fit my harsh requirements..

    1.

    2.  And it is actually useful too, not just aesthetic

    3.

    4. You'll have to use your imagination for this one.

    5. The options for customizing your characters abilities/stats/feats/enhancements/gear is HUGE. I've been playing permadeath (delete when you die) since launch and am still able to come up with new builds.

    6.  Human, Elf, Drow, Halfling, Dwarf, Warforged (sentient golems). More than just graphical differences, each has unique bonuses/penalties and their own enhancements. They are currently working on Half-Orcs, no idea when they will be ready for release though.

    7. There are many extra rooms/chests/fights in the game that you can only get to by swimming.

I also played CoH for two years, I love the game but got burnt out and just couldn't get back into it. I went to DDO after and love it. It isn't for everybody but with a free trial what are you going to lose by trying it for 10 days?

Just be sure to let groups you are new as many old timers have been playing for two years and zerg through the low quests a bit. Most will slow down for you.

EDIT: Nevermind the previous edit. Think I need to step away from the computer for a bit.

Age of Conan seems to fit all those especailly #4 but ya its VERY FUN IF YOU HAVE A GOOD COMPUTER other wise play LOTRO or WoW for 3 months when it comes out for xbox in september.

Scantily clad female outfits seem to be a requirement in every MMO.

Howeverr, based on what you mention almost every P2P MMO will fit. I find it hard to believe you havnt considered WoW..but if for some reason you've been playing your MMOs in a cave ..consider it.

    Others include

    EQ2

    AoC

    DAOC

    Heck, even EQ1 probably fits.

Best thing to do is decide what you liked about Lineage and CoX and then start looking for a game with similar aspects.

I wrote an article on how to find a new MMO HERE.

I coded an Online MMORPG finder HERE

    Hope this helps,

    Good Luck

Check out Vanguard.  It easily satisfies your requirments... well scantily clad is subjective.. not as scantily as AoC.

Lotro or EQ2 should meet all your requirements.  Although Lotro has only surface swimming, it has the best clothing options.

Like every major Western MMORPG meets your requirements...seriously, you are incredibly easy to please by the measure of other MMO players. Forget FFA PvP, forget sandbox....

Do you want pvp or not? If not EQ2, Vanguard, LOTRO. If you do i suggest DAOC for everything and AOC for the something nice to look at part only ;)

I would highly recommend Vanguard. Played EQ2 for 2 years, played Lotro for six months, and have been playing AoC since release. Recently checked out EQ1 with the Living Legacy program. But Im heading back to Vanguard myself. If they roll back the BOP changes, which is highly likely, it will have  everything i want.

tyvm for the info.. right now im grabbing all the "free to try, trial" stuff I can find...

I got the trial of Wow that im playing now ..(although I wish I could play as the centaur instead of the dark elf )..

..and im hoping theres a trial of AoC coming out in a bit.. I cant see spending 50 dollers for a game that I may or maynot like ( battle rhino or not )
