just installed the discs...but i have a problem help please?

I get a screen with the dragon and it loads up some stuff, but then it get stuck...well atleast I think it's stuck at the "Getting alerts and news..."
it was like that for like 15-20 minutes...is that normal for how long the game's been out that it may just as well have that much stuff it needs to find? Or is something wrong and maybe i should download the game's free trial from the website...

Maybe try reinstalling the game. Good luck.
No it's not normal. If it doesn't work after a few Alt+F4 / restart, then try to download the trial. You'll save a lot of update time too
