To get to 75 in just one class you will need to play at least 4 hours a day. Of course this is to get to 75 within a year. This is due to multi-leveling of classes aswell as the overall slow pace of the game. This is why I love it. I'm not sure about servers however because Ive never needed to look for another one. As for the party, maybe 10 min to an hour depending on the class and zone in which you are seeking. If you are a class such as a BST or DRG, then it may take you much longer than an hour at higher levels to find a party.

I came back yesterday (6-10-08) and found that it was hard to find a party in Qufim Island. I searched the area and there were only 1 party there. this is the lvl 20-25 zone.Im still gonna play but just know be prepared to wait a long time for a party expecialy if your not a job that is highly valuable like white mage.

im on the server seraph so i only know the state of that server. It might just be my server and not all of them.

Thats always been the problem with this game, waiting for groups. I used to go for more than a week of sitting at the comp playing guitar waiting for an invite and after 4 or 5 hours, Id shut it off in disgust.

I went back about 5 months ago.......................same problem. So I quit.

Well, I've been playing on and off for years now, so I'm not starting over... but, I just transfered over to Bahamut, which seems to have more active players. It's all about timing and being flexible when invited to a party.

If you have friends online or someone who'd be willing to help you level, it'd be a quick run. I had a friend who leveled up insanely fast within a few weeks. As for myself, I'm level 60... I'll probably hit the max level in 3 more years.

Make your parties. BLM's can solo.

To be the best, you must help each other become the best.

Read my thread a few posts down. Maybe that'll help you since it's from a very professional MMORPG player's perspective.

Hey i'd play on Odin or Asura if I were you based on the state of the servers the last time I stopped playing.  Once you get experienced you can make friends/parties and level pretty fast.  I went 1-70 with DRG which is one of the hardest classes to level in a little under a month real time.  At the time Aht Urghan was pretty important to level up.

Anyway I just resubbed again and i'm going to transfer to Asura I think with my main character.  Post what server you join if you go back.

What's up with starting on Odin or Asura?  Are they the most popular servers to play on?  Also, I see a lot of people playing on Fairy... is that a good server too?  Judging by all these new people starting, I may restart on on of those servers since it's so hard finding players period on Garuda.

Let it be known that I hate WoW with a passion and will defend almost any MMORPG against it.

I don't know I always played on Quetz, but once the server transfers opened up I read about a lot of people going to Asura so I took my 2nd Character there and low and behold there were many, many more people in some of the lower level areas then I had on my server.  (Running 2 accounts on 2 pc's in places like Yhutunga around level 30 ish).  There were not only a lot more players, but more American players as well.

I have heard lately that Odin is the most populated server to the point that it was over populated for a bit.  Fairy I think is the popular server for the MMORPG board players, but from my testing a while back Asura seemed really nice.
