Trough the time ppl has been more casual,Wow was a good system but now people looking for new games,Aion maybe looks like a grind korean mmo because is ncsoft,but GW,CoH,L2 too and they are different game styles. But Aion will be the best option for the next generation,it's a transition game imo.

I'd just like to touch on a few topics in this thread if i may
First, all of you saying this is a "clone of XXXXXX" need to think before you speak. You cant make a game these days without it having features that another game has already done. Aion will have it's own unique features, as well as many that have already been done. Every game has some unique features that make it great, and to think there will be a unique game that nobody has ever done before is just naive in my opinion.
Second, and I realize this isn't a WoW bashing thread and I apologize in advance. One of the main reasons WoW did so well at launch is mostly do to it's already ginormous fan base. Millions of people played the Warcraft games, myself included. So it's natural for fans to be excited over an MMO based on their favorite game. I guarantee that is a decent Star Wars MMO is developed, it would do just as well, if not better than WoW (Nothing against SWG, just didn't float my boat). Aion has no such fan base simply because of the fact that it is a new unique experience. And you cant tell me that a good percentage of that 11m players aren't box accounts and gold farmers. I played WoW from release until just a few months ago, and it is a great game, I just got bored and its time for a change for me. Yes, the expansion is coming out, but if you think about it, its just new "old stuff".
And i think finally, all you people bashing the game that YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED YET. Find a new hobby, seriously. Most of the people in this forum are here because they want to play Aion and your blabbing and hatecraft isn't going to deter us form wanting to play this game, so give it a rest. At least wait and play the game before you throw around falsities and misinformation.
In conclusion, do I think Aion will be the next great MMORPG?? No I don't, but that is not to say that it wont be a great MMORPG and I look forward to joining the many other waiting fans in the game.

The animation has attracted me to the game to but I'm hoping that more people will start out in the game because then the gaming community will grow to a good size quickly so its easier to run instances, participate in auctions, etc. To me, more people=more fun.
I think aion is going to be an awesome game. I just hope you can lvl quickly in the game. thats one thing AOC did perfect, you can lvl very quickly. But Aion graphics are great and the fighting looks interesting.

there are only a few instances out there :> and most will be used for quests so well there shouldnt be much need to group for instances, however the biggest zone (the abyss, which we dont know much about yet) should have all the content ya want and more (if everything goes to plan :>)

I dont think there will be another "great" mmorpg until there is a game where it isnt based on leveling and questing till level cap. Games need more end game content, more skill based, and do whatever the hell you want to do....instead of picking what you want to be right from the get go.

NDA in Korea is not like those games in EU/NA . Players are allowed to make videos , screens , telling their point of view about the game and so on ..

So far CB 3 must begin and the CB 2 reports coming from Korean players is that the game is like an OB , with few bugs and most of them are for ballancing classes , spawn mobs had high time responds , etc , which can easly be repaired.

Thanks to the lenient Asian NDA the game is getting the royal testing treatment and the subscribers will only benefit from that. I love that! Everything is being tested up to max level. Nothing is left over to chance.

Aion looks like a mmorpg that has combined many of the things i so much loved about old and new mmorpgs.
The GFX is amazing and animations look "right" but it's not the selling point of the game. VERY NICE
The character looks aren't some plastic models, where the devs go out "haha state of the art shaders, gazillions of polygons!" and it then looking like crap. Again Aion looks amazing the characters of each class looks perfect for their class and their animation seem fluid, even when doing several abilities, it chantes over fluid, as if it were a series of combos.
Needless to say, i thought AoC looked pretty good but the artistic looks aren't really there, i've always seen WoW as masterpiece, when it came to artistic look but it's not an eye candy, when you speak of it GFX wise. But here we got Aion, it bloody has both of 'em!
Combat/gameplay: fluid and good pace, combat looks exciting and awesome, just the kind of way many Asian mmorpgs always were, they might have been grindfest but their combat gameplay was always above the western ones. Before WoW i saw every western mmorpg as an eyesore, their combat was dull and looked in many ways wrong, where some Asian ones really had the whole "power play" and amazing combat animations. Aion is aiming for the Western market as well, so it will try not to be such a grindfest and will have the combat pace i so much love and rarely see in western mmorpgs. WoW actually brought one thing though, fluid and good looking combat gameplay animation. But then again Blizzard looked both at the Asian and western mmorpgs.
I am excited about this game, looks promising, people in the beta talk well of it, and it just looks so damn good.
Aion is an underdog right now, not really known, compared to how AoC and WAR was/is, so in that part i think Aion deserve more but on the other part, i rather not have too many of those idiotic "XZY clone" trolls here.
