Ground Control, good game?

I just want to know if Ground Control is really a good game. Ive seen fileplanet has its full download+GC2 on-line demo for free, and I would like to know if its worth it(650mb dowload).
Ive heard its a very good game from reviews and such, but I never heard the public ideas.
So, what u think?

Ground Control 1 is an awesome game, with a great story. I didn't care much for the expansion, but it's freeware, and I didn't expect much of it anyway. I've yet to try GC2, so unfortunately I can't compare.
