Hey firgure we got a few techies here. I really want to buy a laptop for work and school but I want it to be able to play AoC. I want to spend around 1k for it. I kind of know what is good and not but really just wanting to find a pretty good deal and figure with fathers day weekend might be able to.
Through my work I can get a HP with a 17 inch screen 64 bit vista Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.0 GHz) 3GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS it sounds pretty good oh for 60 more dollars can get a another gig of ram dunno if need it though. All this is for 970 dollars.
So pretty much is this a pretty good deal should I jump on it? or think there are better deals out there?
Thanks for any help can give me.

Don't fool yourself into thinking you need to buy a laptop to play games. Thats almost as foolish as buying a mac. That laptop will not be able to run Age of Conan. It has a dinky little 8500 thats 2 generations old and even for its generation was mediocre. It will however, probably suit your needs for school and work and is reasonable for the price. I would get the extra gig just because its running windows vista. 4 gigs is like the barrier into getting a good experience on the OS.
Theres nothing wrong with buying a mac.
Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.
If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms
