i only heard good things about eq2 so i want to start it sometime next month but i have a few questions:

-are there any eu servers since i'm from romania and i don't want to lag like crazy

-how is the population will i find myself wandering around an empty world, i know that the starting areas are always empty like in all games but how about the mid level areas.?

-on a scale from 1-10 how complex is it? give WoW a 2 and EvE a 10.

-will it run on amd 1,8ghz 512 ram and fx550 at 128ram?i run WoW GW and EVE just fine i only have problems in crowded areas.

-is it casual friendly?

i'm a casual player so the 14 day trial will not help me to see how game is and also i want to know more before i download 10 gigs.i might be able to play only 2 days from those 14 days

Thanks.

Yes there are EU servers...I have no idea how populated they are.  But what i do know is that the American servers are probably more populated.

Once again if you want to be sure of a high population choose one of the American servers Antonia Bayle And Najea are very populated.  There are allways people in the noob areas.  However this game you preaty much solo untill about 17 or 18 so there it dosent really matter how many noobs there are.

I would put it at 7 or 8.  This is a very detailed game with tons of things to do and use....dont worry you wont get bored.

Your rig sounds like the Rig I had when i first had this game.  Its going to be rough, but a little trick a learned is to go into options and put complex Shader distance to -1.  THis kills most of the lighting and Awsome Textures as well as shiney silver and gold armour but it still looks preaty good and you wont get lag at all.  It is how i survived the first 2 years playing this game.  but you should seriously think of investing in a new machine...hardware prices are cheap these days.

Yes, this game is casual friendly....ive been playing casually on and off since launch and i never get sick of it....but you can also play hardcore.  SOE has done an amazing job making this game playable for everyone.  IF you want to be casual you dont need to get into the crazy depths of crafting and harvesting and raiding and gods..and transmuting.  You can just lvl...its up to you.

    Hope this helps!

thanks allot for the info, i'm downloading the trial to see if my pc can handle it but i'm sure if i turn grafix to low it is possible if you say that you played 2 years i plan to buy a new right this fall.

i don't care if i solo 20 lvls i just don't want to solo the whole game, i know it can be done but where is the fun in it?

we are the same friend.  I much prefer grouping and there is no shortage here...i think the quality of the duongeans and instances are unmatched by any other game on the market.

I don't know I had characters on the PVP server Nagafen and when I just logged on and did a /who all 1-100 there were only 97 playres on at around 7:30pm Sunday night.  I checked levels 40-100 and there were only 13 players on.

I realize that anon blocks some people but not that many.  This is the reason that I quit a while ago... It was like a ghost town.  I will try rolling on Antonia Bale and seeing what it's like, but right now this game is giving me a hollow feeling.  Anyone have /who numbers for Antonia?
