I am having a problem...

Hi all i just bought a game last night ... down loaded the game and I activated the prodcut key while it downloads and patches....  everything is done  then i tried to log on.. I have only one option showing to log on... which was "free tiral"  that expried long time go...... 

I went to the "my account" then tried to  re entere the prodcut key again.. but it says it is already in use.. 

I had no idea if  that "free trial" had someting to do with me just buying a new copy and starting out the game.   (may be thats just being not so smart I guess)

I already sent an email to customer support though, is there anything I can do while I wait for them to reply ?   I posted about this on the main forum but none reply so I though  would seek advice in this forum..

    When you entered the product key last night did you create a whole new user account or did you enter it using the trial account that you had? If you entered it under the trial account then it should of upgraded it and made it accessable again.

    when I activated the product key, I made an whole account as the same name as the trial account... i did not upgrade anything ...  may be somthing went wrong when I am installing the game or something ?

    I have no idea what to do ... I guess I am waiting the answer for the email I sent to the support,,

    I think the problem is you used the same name for the new account and the trial account. If you would of just upgraded the trail account you would of had access to the characters on the trail account. I hope that you get this straightened out.

    hmm does this mean I have to buy yet another copy of game (degitally or at the store)  and update my account by it ... ?   Hopefully they can fix the problem and I can start playing the game soon.

    Oh well, it is best to wait till the rely from customer support from the compay I suppose...

    Multiple accounts cannot share the exact same name.

    So, I suspect there is a minor difference with the Username used to make the New Account when compared to the Username that was used when you made the Trial Account.

    If the accounts did have the same name, then your new subscription would be showing up when you try to login to the launcher. Seeing as it only shows your old Trial Account, that tells me they are on separate accounts, further reinforcing the theory that there is a minor typo or difference in the Username that was created on the New Account.

    A good practice to remember, write down the info when you make a new account, and put all your mmorpg account related information into an easily accessable binder. Tuck that away inside your desk, or what have you, and then you have a reference incase you ever forget or misplace some of your info.

    Your best option though, as mentioned above, is to Call Support and explain your problem, give them your Key and they will be able to help you determine the Username for the New Account, or if I turn out to be wrong and some bug has actually allowed two accounts to have the same name then they will be able to assist you with that as well.

    Instead of posting a new thread id thought id use this to ask my question...

    Umm i am recently returning to the game and got it all back and downloaded last night, but when i open up the window LOTRO gets threw all the updates but then freezes while examining, has anyone had this problem?

    Srasa glad to hear your problem is solved.

    Demoncraze sounds like a technical problem. Have you tried contacting support or posting in the technical problem thread on the forums. to answer your question i have no problems with the game updating.
