So, I don't think I can do FFA PVP Servers..

And no, it's not because of constant ganking or anything else to do with losing. It's when I win, at least on this game, that kills my enjoyment. I'm constantly getting tells after killing someone about how bad I suck, how "fat I am", how I "don't have a social life," blah blah blah. And I know, ignore them all that good stuff, I think my ignore list is actually full up. Its the one thing I enjoy about faction based PVP, the fact that the other side can't send you a nasty tell because you just shoved your axe up their buttocks. The complete immaturity in this game has absolutely killed me with this on PVP servers and the majority of my enjoy ment of this game. I was just wondering how many other people have gone through this crap?

Hate Tells are actually a pretty common occurence in PvP Games.
The only game that really doesn't have them, is WoW, and even then if you play on a PvE Realm (or if the person you just stomped is a real twit and has multiple accounts) they can still create a new character on your faction and talk trash to you.
Best thing to do is, rub it in there face that you just buried them in a hole, and then /ignore.
Just don't reply or reply with a comment they are totally unexpecting.
If I am not mistaken, I used to see lots of this on SWG during its prime.
I missed this type of nonsense spamming on who kicked whose ass. Definetly PvP at its finest.
to deal with any hate tells no matter what that say to you.. and depending on your mood only 2 responses are necessary:
GF- repeat this until he gets tired of spamming you-kill with kindness
or my personal favorite but it typically on works on the younger crowd
No U- do not spell it as you but you have to use U
repeat that not matter what they say because as we all you you can not rationalize or explain anything to anyone in a game.

I don't mind a hate tell, but a preponderance of extremely stupid ones starts to get depressing. Like taking candy from babies.
Yeah, just respond with a tell like "Oh hold on, this is just Takentheday's little sister playing his character :hugs:, if you want to send him a tell let me get him for you, brb...hold on k? :hugs: :smiles:"
Then a few seconds later send him a tell "Ok you wanted to talk to me, sorry my 7 year old little sister likes to play my character when I'm away from the PC, you wanted to tell me something?"
That's odd. From all the pvp encounters I have been in, I never gotten a single reply.
I don't really have this problem on Scourge, every once in a while I get some idiot saying "That was lame" or something, but I just don't reply and that's all I hear

I've been with them in EVE, LOTRO now AOC.
They have Euro and Oceanic/US guilds on pvp and pve servers.

Take it as a compliment (assuming it's a reasonably fair fight). No PvP/FPS gaming session is complete until you've been cursed at at least once!
so, in a FFA PvP server, is it difficult to level up? would I be ganked frequently by higher levels? or does it just depend on who is on and where I am?
Maybe it was just the server I was on, Bluesteel, but it got old quick. I could swear that's the unofficial PVE/PVP server. The only times my Dark Templar was attack was when it was 2v1(Normally won, Life taps+Active blocking rocks.) But you could literally go all day in conall's valley and not see a PVP fight unless you wanted to. And then when I did initiate fights, if they lost I got some nasty tell because i killed them. I'unno, I just wanted to rant about how immature some people are in this game, and figure out why people play on a PVP server if they don't plan to die or PVP.
