What do u think people....
I have played lineage since open beta and recently decided it was a total waste of time, money, and honestly..nerves.
I have spent a LOT of time on grinding, grinding and firther grinding.... and finaly got sick of it.
WoW on the other hand...so far...seems more oriented arround a story...builds on the series of extremely sucsessful RTS.
Share your experiences...good things/ bad things about WoW or Lin2

I too played L2 and really tried to like it.I mean i tried for a month or so.The grind on that is just too much.The reward is apparently at upper levels.I think WoW could be better but it just doesnt seem to be my kind of game anyway.
Want to ENJOY an mmo?
Dont start a guild and dont be a leader or volunteer to be coleader or captain.
Just play the damn game:)

Well, I'm one of the lucky ones who got entry into the stress test. After 1 day, I can honestly say WoW is a true second generation MMORPG. It takes some of the best elements of EQ, AC, and DAoC, and rolls them into a nice neat package along with lots of innovation, and in my opinion, great graphics. their code is phenominal, as lag hasn't been a big issue, and I'm only running 256 megs of ram in my system! Fighting grants you more skill points while questing gives you more xp as well as a more fleshed out storyline. All in all, I think WoW is a lot better than anything out on the market, and from what I've seen of the games coming soon, better than anything coming anytime soon as well.
can't really compare it to WoW, but i can say a few things from WoW's screens and reviews of beta'ers
Lineage II beats WoW's graphics by far
WoW beats Lineage II's gameplay..not sure by far

This sort of thread is starting to become timeless.
I've seen many many like this before. Gotta love it.
I remember debating with someone how hardcore-lite will engage casual-lite, it always get bloody in the end.
To nail this once for all, I would go with Lineage 2.
I love the purity and boldness of Lineage 2.
Playing L2 feels like you are hammering ever resilient 100 tons steel block with your bare fist, fall back few times and still hope that you will break it even in pieces.
I have to say anything that goes up against Lineage ][ will be the better choice in a mmorpg.
Lineage ][ is absolutely the worse piece of trash (well, not the worse...but in mmorpg terms, it's pretty dang close).
Hell, I'd play the original pong over Lineage ][.

I'm playing WoW right now on ST beta and i have 1 word....
WoW!!
I have so much fun playing that i'm not boring at all!!!
There lot of feature that i really like,
ex: quests (tons), combo fights, nice pet
Right now there one thing that i will act later. Is to buy WoW and play like hell!!!

I've goten to a farily high level in Lineage...a funcky class to play...a powerfull necromancer...but even tehn..the only thing thet kept me going was...to get to the weekend and go to a siege...
where u get slaughtered by a zillion of Koreans that play during their sleep (i.e. bot..)
it just seemed pointless to keep chasing some even higher levels...
WoW .. unfortunately...NZ/Aus are not as yet allowed to participate...so i will ahve to wait...but i do know ppl that are in the closed beta and they STRONGLY recomend WoW...
In comparison to LIneage... (about gameplay) ... its in a whole different place..fun ... intersting... chalenging...and finaly..(no nationalism/racism/fachisam intended) the chinese/korean Farmer/E-bayer system...in NOT going to work, all because blizzard is there nad not NCSoft

In my opinion, WoW is better and before you say "How do you know, you never played it!" I have, I am in the Stress Test. There are a couple reasons why I think it's better.
Word of Mouth:
I have heard so many bad things about L2 it isnt funny. Horrible support, dull gameplay, all kinds of botters and crap.
While WoW I have heard nothing but good things and I have had no trouble so far even with the beta.
Playing:
I have played a tiny, tiny bit of L2 (in beta) and a good hour or two of WoW (in beta). From those times alone I can tell WoW is better. L2 was glitchy, the controls werent smooth at all (I had to hold up down, for example, and it took the character a good 5-6 seconds to react) and I personally hate clicking to move my character around in an MMORPG. Other then that I didnt try much, fighting seemed fine and I didnt notice any really glitches. I didnt really see what people saw in the graphics. They were alright, but no better then most newer games.
Now for WoW. I got in the game and created my character fine, in game the character was very responsive and other then in heavily crowded areas the lag was non-existant which is nice considering it is a stress test. The graphics were nice, they are much better then most screenshots seem. Some textures could be quite a bit better but other then that they were fine. A couple fights and I didnt notice any real glitches. My main problem is that since the stress test pretty much just started, the newbie areas are so crowded its nearly impossible to find monsters to kill. That and people keep taking your kills. A nice feature that was added however is that as long as you get the first hit, you get the experience and loot. That pretty much gets rid of kill-stealers. In all honesty, it was hard to tell I was playing a beta.
Do what you will with my descriptions but they are what I saw and thought of each game. Not that I am completely right or wrong. Of course some of it could be wrong considering I have only played the beta of L2 and some of it's problems I mentioned above could've been fixed.
I have played both Lineage2 and WoW. I would say WoW. Ive played L2 alot more then I have played WoW, but I would say I personally would rather play WoW.
