I just got this game and the biggest flaw so far is....

in Age of Conan: Unchained

The community...OMG it sucks.  The new player chat is full of racial comments, rude comments to new ppl and just total garbage.  As for the game, I am having alot of fun with it, the character development, environment and combat system is a blast to me.

    AoC does have the worse community I have ever seen in a MMO period and I've played a lot of em.

    People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

    Aye, the community is rancid, but most of them will probably be gone soon (banned or unsubbed).

    You will still have a minimal amount of the people who confuse 'M' for 'Moron' and not 'Mature', but hopefully the rest of the community will squelch them over time.

    There are 3 types of people in the world.
    1.) Those who make things happen
    2.) Those who watch things happen
    3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"

    Might be. RP communities are normally a lot more quiet in that sense.

    RP is just as bad. I would just give it time as see what happens. But for the most part a lot of the asses are the ones that will stay from what I have observed

    The community here on Battlescar [EU] has actually been quite polite and friendly. There are some bad apples, but I have a feeling they are the ones who did not like the game in the first place and will probebly quit.

    That's funny... here on soulstorm[EU], people writing in the newcomers channel usually get a good reply within a couple of seconds.

    Maybe the problem is worse in the US servers?

    Just find a Guild and you will be fine.  I admit the community does suck.  But If you find a decent guild the game gets a lot funner.  And plus you have people to do instances and such with.

    Guessing you on a pvp server?

    I do hear it allot on forums about the community >at insert any kind of mmorpg here<, but keep in mind this does not go for all servers and all of AoC's community.....thankfully, but i do feel it's ashame that so many people have to deal with those anti-social figures........

    Myself will not jugde AoC's community until we atleast 3/5 months ahead, afcourse depending how much effort FC continue's to have towards the game and is able to indeed make those left out promises into reality for their game.

    This is the case with about every single MMO I play, I just turn off global/area chats and the game is improved by a ton.

    That and staff off the PVP servers.

    The community & griefing levels = fail there.

    This is expected considering how long MMOs have been around and how much attention they get now. Best thing to do is look around for a few established guilds and check them as far the community goes. I'm on Tyranny and I got into a very decent guild and turned off province and ooc (unless you are LFG/M).

    You must be playing on a PVPFA server.  The community does suck.  It's bad enough I started missing Barrens chat!

    Try a different server maybe. I've jumped around several different servers and have only noticed one like that.

    Ye you generally find that pvpers ingame and on forums are usually a bad bunch or full of hate etc. just read a few threads on this site and see the kind of names you get called and the response you get from trying to talk :).
