Ok, I'm starting to thing this game sucks

I can't get my CH-Products joystick to work with this game.  Not for flying, and not for driving vehicles.

I can't get any help from the help channel.  No ONE ever responds when I call for help.

I can't even log into the forum and ask there, since NEW registrations have been disabled.

In short, I can't play the damn game!!!

FIX IT!!!  FIX IT!!!  FIX IT!!!

Thank you for reading my rant.

screaming to fix it fix it fix it wont get anything done for you, does your mother still wipe your ass and kiss your 'booboos'?

considering CH sticks are one of the most common used sticks for playing the game, your doing something wrong, not the game.

maybe not spamming the help channel would help? remember, most of the players have atleast some level of maturity and dont like dealing with whiny 10 year olds, because they dont take responsability for anything.

I dont know why you cant log into the forums, Im contacting CRS right now to see whats going on, i just checked the records and the last person to register was in april, so somethings up.

If you ever whine again dont expect any help but many fingers pointing to the exit sign.

Post your problem in the Forums Windows Help thread. Are you using a USB kb? THere can be conflicts in ww2ol using a USB JS and KB with one or more of the HID drivers. Check the sticky for SGTSpoon in that forum or google his site..SGTSpoon.. Also you must map the throttle in keymapper. Select GAS/Throttle under fighter bobmers..tanks etc and move the throtle.Ususaly shows as Slider 1. Betting you prob is the USB one. You can try to disable one HID at a time to find the one that is causing the problem, cheange to a PS2 KB using a usb/ps2 adapter, boot with the ps2 and launch ww2ol then install the USB KB. Hope this helps.

Well, darn, too bad I'm not 10, I just act like it. ;)

I didn't do ANYTHING wrong.  The damn game's controller section has NO calibration routines, so even if you tell it to use the joystick's x, y, z, or ZR axis, for something, it doesn't seem to care that it thinks left is right and vice-versa.

And I DID NOT SPAM the help channel.  I simply started asking for help, and NO ONE responded.

And frankly, it's my God, given right to whine, if I effing feel like it.  And so far, this game has done nothing to show me that it's remotely playable.  So I'm fully entitled to whine if I want to.  :P

I can't post in Playnet's forums.  Currently, new registrations are suspended.  So I can't post any messages there.  I went through the controller setup, in the keymapper.  It picked that stuff up, but it still doesn't work right.

Obviously, there's something I'm missing, but I can't log into the forums to get help!!!  Oh well, I guess the game really doesn't want me to play it.

They dont allow trialers access to the Forums because they figure if you hate the game you'll love the forums and therefore subscribe. They must be betting on the fact that youll be frustrated, look for help, find out you need to subcribe to get any help and come crawling to them with your $$. They're just playing hard to get. Or maybe they really dont want you... sorry.

Well, at least I know why now.  Thanks for letting me know.  It's too bad really.  It looks like it would be a good game otherwise. :(

I'm surprised you cant access the Help Forums..OT is another matter.

So, your CH stick was seen in the Keymapper. When you say it doesn't quite work right, exactly what do you mean? Are you using a USB keyboard. If so, get the green adapter that came with it and use your PS/2 input for the KB just to see if that may be your problem. Do you use a stick file with the JS or are you using the keymapper defaults.

As for the reasons given that you seem to not be able to post to the help forum, they are just nonsense.

I have a post in the help forums to find out the policy on freebie players.

The keyboard is PS/2, the joystick et al, are USB.  I TRIED to use the keymapper defaults, after making sure it saw my stick and rudder.

I also just tried to post a thread to the help forum, got the following:

"That username is already in use or does not meet the administrator's standards. If you are alowe56 and you have forgotten your password, click here."

I clicked and enterer my email address, (the one I used to sign up for the game.)  And got this message.:

"You have not entered an email address that we recognise. Please try again or contact the administrator."

So my guess is, newbies aren't allowed in the help forums either.

My actions?  I didn't design a fraked up game that won't work with my controllers.  I tried everything possible to get it to work.  I TRIED to get help online, NO ONE responded.  It's not MY actions that should be questioned.

But if you don't like my message, don't read it.

Do you have X and Y axis and Throttle in game? You can map functions in the keymapper to your JS/Throttle buttons. I suggest you use Secondary input for your stick if you are not making a stick file.

Do you views work? You did not say what exactly was wrong when you said it still was not working correctly. There is torque drift to the left on takeoff. Do you have pedals?. If not use the X and Y keys which control the brakes to steer on takeoff. Please practice offline to you get confortable...Also hit the L key to unlock the rear wheel to control steering on draggers. Hope this helps. The game is better than you are seeing at the moment.

your controllers do work with the game, either your doing something wrong or your controllers are doing something wrong, but its not the game.

your not taking responsability for your actions by whining, by saying FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT. several times in your posts here have you contradicted what you just stated.

The actions of others are not whats being questioned here, as there was no action.

and how am i supposed to know if i like a message if i dont read it?

just questioning your logic, or lack there of.

See if this is of any help to you Alowe.

You can't reply but you can at least view it.

    Hope that helps.

    EDIT: This too

BTW..a controller fix is something you cannot fix on the help channel because of the complexity of the issue.

Ok, but it might have been nice if someone at least replied and told me that.  But I suppose that would have been too much to ask for.

    Oh Well.

  • hardcasehardcase Member Posts: 367

So, are you going to post the exact type of problem you are having after the JS Throttle was seen in the Keymapper?

  • tailoutailou Member UncommonPosts: 54

The game does not sucks... maybe i do suck, but the game rocks...

as for trying to solve the problems:

links were posted to you to follow it, the controllers is a complex matter, but as far as i see loads of people driving whatever vehicle and even I could solve it myself, so it´s obvious that is only a matter of reading carefully the instructions and try it, try it, try it!

as for the help channel, i never saw someone asking something, even out of the help channel and gone without an answer... it could take sometime, but we (they) answer as good as possible.

even if yo couldnt get any answers or help, come here, someone sometime will come here and read the posts, as you can see, you had your problem "solved" here... so there´s a light after all...

see? the game does not sucks.

oh suck a nut kid the internet isnt anywhere to bring up your ego but then again it sounds like THAT is why you play MMOs.

  • alowe56alowe56 Member Posts: 13

Yeah, it didn't effing work!  I followed the links.  they don't address my problem.  It's not a USB keyboard thing, since my keyboard and mouse are plugged into PS/2 connectors.  My CH stick, throttle and rudder work just fine with Fighter Ace, RB3D, EAW, and just about any other game that requires/recommends joysticks.

Perhaps, if it were possible to actually talk/chat/exchange emails with someone from Playnet, I might get this done.  But since they are non-responsive, and don't allow trial accounts in the forum, oh well.

And Timmy41 needs to sit back, take a chill pill and watch Spaced Invaders.  ( I put in a few too many "Fix It's")

    :)

You have yet to post what is wrong with the JS Throttle. I am giving up.

  • alowe56alowe56 Member Posts: 13

    What's a JS THrottle?  I have CH 568 Combatstick, CH Pro-Throttle, and CH Pro-Pedals.

The things only seem to work in one direction, except the pedals seem to work in reverse.  There's no calibration routine in the game, that I can find.

But that's ok, I've given up long ago.

  • hardcasehardcase Member Posts: 367

To bad you gave up, casue I know a lot of poeple flying the same setup. Pedals backwards..push left pedal nose goes right? You did calibrate in windows. There are axis calibration routines in keymapper.

    BTW JS Throtlle..is joystick/throttle.
