I have enough money to go out and buy the game and it sounds awesome. I have played WoW for about 3 years and I am thoroughly bored of arena, arena, arena, etc... I have decided to buy it but I would like to know if my system will run it. From what I hear you dont have to have a god as a computer to run the game anymore since the latest patches. Please tell me if i can get 30+ fps on med settings with this computer spec.

Your processor is definitely fine.
Your RAM is ok...I would upgrade to 3 or 4, but 2gb is fine really. I used to have 2gb and I ran it fine, so you'll be good.
Not sure how much power that graphics card gives though...thats the only thing I'm not to sure about...but other then that your looking good.
I see more and more peoples complaining about their FPS going down with each new patch being released....
So does anyone know if my vid card is good enough? The recommended requirements is a geforce 7900 so mine is better than that.
Your GPU will be fine, maybe not the best but it will still work ok.

Your video card will hold you back, you really need a 8800 or above to enjoy the graphics to the full or a 8600 to run it smoothly but tbh they are messing around so much with the patche's no-one can really say how it will end up with your card but I would imagine on the lower side.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Could someone give me a link to a good 8600 NVIDIA on newegg, the cheapest possible. thx
Not really adding to your question here m8 but how about you just struggle by for a bit and save for a 8800 card or above,I know how it is when you want to buy something that helps you play but honestly just go that bit longer and save somemore and get a card that will do you for alot longer so you arent in the same boat 4-5 months from now.

Have to agree. Give it a shot using the current card, it might eb enough for you for now. If later you think you want to spend the extra money, an 8800 might be cheap enough for you to buy without the worry.

The 7950 is better than the 8600.
Other than the fact that dx10 how ever you want to look at it is the future and also the 7950 isnt better than the 8600 card preformance wise they are about on par but again the 8600 offers dx10,also like I said these days save your cash a bit longer and get a 8800 series card or even above.

I totally agree with the dx10 point. I would go directly to a 8800 or higher. I still think, based on the reviews I read some time ago, that the 7950 performs better than the low and mid 8000's range (including the 8600). That's my opinion and I accept and respect that you think different. Anyone interested can just google the reviews (a simple "review 8600 vs 7950" at google should do the trick).
Now, the 8800 will perform much better than the 7950 and I would go for a GT version. Alto the dx10 capability of the 8600 is an important point and should not be missed, as you pointed out. So if the OP ever want to upgrade his GPU (I dont htink its necessary in the shot term) he should go, as you adviced him, to a 8800 or higher directly.
Back to the original OP's question, the rig should run the game ok.
nvidia and ati both announced new graphicscards that are coming out soon (maybe)
