The login is a little tiny bit bugged every now and then (lagged out or just not wokring).

The servers have been 90%+ stable.

Game is ok and only a few minor bugs to report. Still needs work. But is ok. Mainly they need to polish it up, alot of items are still named like doodad_chair_loend06 and other weird programming incompletes.

They are missing talent skills for alot of the class's. Maybe some class's need to be nerfed, buffed from what I hear with the children on the forums (I havent played the game too much to make my opinion here).
Im sure they have a better idea of what needs to be finished, or fixed then I do from just playing for 1 day.

All in all the game is better then I thought it was going to be. I didnt like the art from the screenshots I had seen. Once your in game its not that bad.

DISADVANTAGE IS THIS GAME DOES NOT FEEL LIKE WARCRAFT AT ALL. VERY LITTLE.

The art is the closest thing to Warcraft you will see. Nothing else really. I expect to be harvesting resources and building base's. Except I get quest grinding and monster killing so you can level up to go kill orcs or humans in prebuilt pvp zones.

BAd design decision here. I would of rather of this of been like Warcraft. I want to build forts and have total open PvP while controlling resources. Build the basic game around that and then add in class's. items, armor, etc and you got yourself a true Warcraft MMORPG.

Oh well still is pretty good. I appreciate what they have.

    erm....
I think your missing the point of a mmoRPG.

    Warcraft = RTS
World Of Warcraft = Massively Multiplayer Online RPG

So obv its not gonna be warcraft gameplay. TBH i like it, i get quests and im actually in the world of warcraft trying to get from a peon to a hero etc.

otherwise it wouldnt be a MMORPG itd be a MMORTS. or some weird combination.

I for one like it, i got to lvl 12 hunter so far. As for talents? my hunter has none.

Thank you but I understand what a mmoRPG is.

Get from a Peon to a Hero? You mean grinding? Thats fine but what is the endgame besides getting new abilities or spells? Is it to win PvP? Probably I am not that far into the game. It is how the game is designed though that just makes it like Everquest or Daoc or pretty much any other fantasy RPG out. It is NOTHING like Warcraft, but it is everything like Everquest and Daoc (with warcraft art).

I would of much rather have seen a MMORTSRPG. Just a little more stuff to make this feel like Warcraft, instead of just another fantasy roleplaying game much like Everquest (the style anyways).

But I would pick WoW anyday over a game like EQ2. Warcraft is a much older and a helleva lot more respected franchise then Everquest will ever be. EQ2 also doesnt offer any player versus player interaction either, so it makes the game kind of a single player game in my opinion. Well a fancy single player game with multiplayer grouping and a chat system. WoW offers everything including PvP and player competition, plus all the other stuff like grouping. instanced quests etc. So WoW is alot better off if your into this MMORPG scene.

Me personally have been waiting for a really really really good MMORTS. Maybe I will have to make one myself. Give me something to do.

how would it be like warcraft?

It cant be the same gameplay as its RTS and not RPG. Its got the background story of warcraft, the usual rpg elements that Wacraft 3 EVEN had on the heros... strength magical items to wear etc.

the alliance is vs the horde, thats whats its been like througout Warcraft 3 etc. If 10000 people each had cities and stuff then it wouldnt be world of warcraft it would be Universe of Wacraft. Too big, besides i like it how it is.
Its an RPG based in the warcraft Universe. I think thats whats on the main site too.

I know exactly what you're sayin this game is nothing like warcraft, except for the graphic, sound, music, background story, mobs, classes, spell/ablitity, location and etc..

I mean what were they thinking...

    Background?

What background? The only thing I see that ties in with the Warcraft background is the name "World of Warcraft".

I played Warcraft for most of my life. I know what Warcraft is supposed to be like. I dont see any similarities besides the graphic style.

Game is still pretty good though. I just dont feel like im playing in "Warcraft" world yet though. I just feel like im playing a new MMORPG that doesnt have any ties to anything else before it.

it is based on warcraft lore.  nothing like warcraft?  I did see Cairne and Thrall.  there is units from warcraft.  So while it is not an RTS, still has warcrafty elements.  Good one Khan11!image

Also after you "grind" to level 60 you get an oppirtunity to quest for Hero status, which is not implemented yet (still in Beta) After you make hero everything is still a mystery.  Although some of the heroes will prolly be from WC3 heroes.  They're keeping it a big secret for now.  You do need resources if you want to buy a few cool itemsimage.

EDIT that's why they cut from 12 to 6 servers every once in awhile.  The beta, if I am correct has 2000 per server.  On each servers in ST there's 2000+ close to 2600 on EACH server when I looked this morning (4 am Eastern.) it is a stress test, be even more stressful if they managed to get 100,000 to log in at the same time.  Like me it's hard for me to get time to login cause I'm working 12 hours a day for the rest of the stress test.  And when I finally get home I have an hour or two to play before it's bed time.  Some of the people may be like me and jumped at an opportunity to play but don't have too much spare time away from work.

26k online at once is pretty good, though now its down to about 22k.

And they said they were giving away "over" 100k slots, so for all we know, they gave away 200k.

Edit: Oh, and the 22k people online at 4pm eastern is even better. :P
